Nice to get a reply. Still haven't heard from my request for $$$ donated on the 24th. Maybe they're still counting, LOL Thanks for the effort Bersa!

THIS is what activism looks like. What is our side doing?

Well, the background system is flawed due to lack of timely reporting, & acting on red flags when they do appear, as the FBI failed to do. Now did you see anyone marching on the FBI's doorstep this weekend? NO. They want to blame the GUN. Until the people/organizations responsible for dropping the ball are held accountable, it's not going to change. Is Congress grilling the FBI, nope, they're grilling Facebook over a lack of security ( which evidently is more important than peoples lives). -
Ordered a new stainless recoil spring assembly a few days ago, got it in last week. Installation was simple & easy. Finally got a chance today to put it to the test. It performed flawlessly, no issues. Actually there were no issues with the original plastic assy. just wanted to make the upgrade ( you know how it is, LOL ) New assy was from LakeLine LLC. Good folks to do business with seems like.

They're kidding, right?

Scooter, as Greg said, we get it that you're not all that fond of the NRA, for one reason or another. No need to keep repeating yourself. No one is disagreeing that NRA isn't perfect. What you need to understand as well, is the fact, that if not for the NRA, we would be in one hell of a fix right now. Apparently, they have done some good to keep the Libs on their case constantly. You don't hear them on these other mentioned organizations case, so apparently they don't wrinkle the Libs feathers as does the NRA. Personally, I don't agree with all the NRA decisions, but I do realize they are the 800 lb. gorilla in the room. Certainly, you are entitled to your opinion, and you have stated it. Move on please......

True, but I said it's useless to "me".

My squad leader in 'Nam was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in '68 or '69. He came in under fire when I was wounded & could not get up, got me and 2 others as well. Assaulted 2 bunkers, wiped them out with hand grenades. I likely would not have made it, if not for Kenneth E. Stumpf. He returned to active duty at the Armies' request, stayed in 29 yrs., came out Sgt. Major.

Social media is for folks that are bored stiff. I got off FB, because to me it's useless as teats on a boar hog. JMHO

Yep! Therein lies the rub. $10, the State is not going to do without easily.

Update....I sent a request to NRA ILA in regards to the total amount donated, membership, etc connected with Mar. 24th. Advised them this request came from members of TGO, and that it was done for support & that we are here & watching. We'll see what, if anything, happens. At the least we tried. I'll post any reply I may get. Larry

Worth a try. Think I'll do just that & see what, if anything, happens.

You should be able to show your HCP to the guy, pay your money & go your way. You've already passed a background check. "If" you have committed a crime that would disqualify you, it should have already been turned in to the State, and your permit revoked/suspended. Problem is many of the court clerks are not turning these records in. This is negligence on their part, not ours. HCP holders pay the price for their laziness. Until there is a major penalty for not doing this, it will continue. JMHO

I was thinking the same thing. Like to know how much was donated overall on the 24th.
-
NO, save your money. You'd gain more by sending it to me.
-
Just sent mine in to the NRA ILA
-
Amen. Just getting out in the woods is the best part.

Yes, we had a good visit, talked a while, and I bought 500 pcs. 9mm once fired brass. Think we both got a good deal. If you happen to need any of the above brass, check Bersaguy out. Good guy to do business with. Besides, it'll keep him busy & off the streets, LOL.

Welcome back to the club. -
Got that right! Wouldn't take much of that to shut me down. A dog will run you ragged, but it's fun. Never been that far up in East Tn., We did pay Hampton one yr. in the HS football playoffs. I was sick & didn't get to make the trip. Love the Smokies & Cades Cove, my fav place on earth.
-
Know what you mean. I love squirrel hunting, with or without dogs. Used to have a good dog yrs ago. My problem is having a good place to hunt anymore. All my old hot spots have been sold off into tracts, built on, posted, etc. Too bad we live so far apart, we could have some fun. Elizabethton is , of course, Jason Wittens home town. I'm a big fan of his & the Cowboys. Good luck next season............

Anything you say can always be used against you, if they so desire. The loyal opposition continually twists words, phrases, to fit their agenda. Point was/is, you have the right to do many things that it's not always a good idea to do, or a better time, etc. Personally, I do not believe the walk outs would have occurred without a nudge form the media. That's my opinion & I'm sticking to it.
-
Mac, I think we can all agree the "right" to protest is Constitutional. However, just because you have the right to do something, does not necessarily mean you are required to do it or is it a good idea. If you look back to the aftermath of the Fla. shootings, the media were doing the usual interviews with survivors & witnesses, how many they actually interviewed & the ones they chose to broadcast may not be the same. The media is left/anti gun biased as we know. Seems the media may have manipulated the situation, and it took a life of it's own. This may sound a bit like a black helicopter overhead, but how many kids walked out prior to the interviews? JMHO, food for thought.......

NO doubt. Last place to call in an active shooter situation, is the news. 15 mins of fame. Dumber than a sack of hammers!

Good to see the SRO did his job, rather than hanging out on the outside, waiting for the cavalry to arrive.

Penalties for carrying in a prohibited place.
Grunt67 replied to m16ty's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If it's posted, and you obviously know it is, you're pushing your luck. They could ask you to leave, or you could be arrested, depending on the place. If you are required to be there, you might make other arrangements with management, or attend unarmed. JMHO
