Arlington National Cemetery Asking for Public Opinion
Grunt67 replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
I had actually considered that as well. FWIW, you have to live within a certain mileage ( ? ) for them to pick up a body for free, otherwise you have to make other arrangements. -
Looks like a pretty good guess to me.

That can be an issue. Right now I'm loading quite a few 9mm, so I can justify it. It really works a heck of a lot better.......for me anyway, LOL
-
Yep! Thanks to Al Gore, we're not going to freeze to death.

I've tried dryer sheets, never worked for long for me. I even ended up rolling up a post-it note for a funnel for a while. Works, but unhandy, LOL.

Had been having problems with static electricity, in my funnel with CFE powder. Tried different things/suggestions, some helped for a while, always returned. Got to prowling on the 'net, & found an aluminum funnel that is static free. It's also caliber specific ( only fits one caliber). I ordered one for my 9MM, it works like a charm....no more static, plus, it sits on the mouth of the case, don't have to hold it up. Ordered from Brownells, about $12 = S/H. Worth it. Some of you guys may already be aware of this , but this is for some of the newbees, that may be having the same issue.

The CCP had multiple issues from day one. From what I read on the Walther forum, it hasn't gotten much better. Some are OK, some not. I fell in love with this gun when it was first announced. Sounded great on the surface, then I started reading posts from owners, etc., that were discouraging ( that's being nice ). Hence, the low price, maybe....... Gave up on it & bought a PPS M2, 9mm. Really like it, no issues.

Arlington National Cemetery Asking for Public Opinion

Back to the original topic, the ANC is a great thing. I would qualify for it, but just doesn't interest me that much, & I have given it some thought. -

Pretty much the same here. No visitation or ceremony. If you can't visit me now, while I'm alive, don't show up & act like you're going to miss me. Sad, but true. -

True, planning on doing that very thing. Not only less space, but funeral homes are a ripoff. -
Welcome, brother, & thank you for your service.

Don't hold your breath on the snow in this neck of the woods. North & higher elevations, maybe

I got mine a week ago, haven't felt up to sitting & waiting that long. Still coughing quite a bit. Mine expires 6/18/18, so no big rush to get it done, anyway. I'll likely go to Lebanon for mine. $50 & a new pic.

Another feel good bill for the mid-terms, etc. Snowballs chance in Hades

Sometimes, late at night, I see green eyes staring at me
Grunt67 replied to Mark A's topic in General Chat
Those little green eyes are very comforting. -
Same here , Bersa. Signs are for folks that like to play the odds. You're taking your life in your hands going unarmed anywhere these days.

Need a lot more of that. The cop killer in Hopkinsville got his justice too, in Clarksville. Cops snuffed his wick out.
-
Yep, it does. Good job, David.

Yep, finally got them all cleaned. Have fun sorting, LOL.

Got my renewal notice in the mail today, expires in June, also. Got to go to the DMV for a new photo. Another $50 out of pocket. 8 yrs this time, by then I'll be 82, probably can't even read the dang thing, LOL.

By all means, shop around. A mortgage is no different than buying a car, prices vary. And, as peejman said, just because you buy a mortgage local, doesn't mean it'll stay local. Not unusual for a mortgage to be sold off, sometimes more than once. Good luck, congratulations.

My favorite right now, is an old H&R single shot 16 ga. w/ 30" bbl & full choke. Light as a feather & shoots quite well. Looked up the Mod. & ser#, and it was made in 1947. Just 3 yrs younger than me, LOL. Prior to that, an even older Crescent Arms 12ga double, both bbls wide open. My pa sawed 2" of the bbls yrs ago. Rabbit ear hammers. Still shoots good. Think it was made round the 1930's. Can't find any info to pin that down.

THIS is what activism looks like. What is our side doing?
Grunt67 replied to TGO David's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
GT, it's a well know fact, that some of these are paid & have said so. I call them "serial protesters" , as they go from cause to cause. They help to stir the pot for others.
