  1. I saw a video similar to this year's ago, but this one is much better. I had the first gen. M16 in 'Nam, 1967. There was no 3 shot burst then. You could empty a 20 rd. mag in a heartbeat. Wasted ammo. I rarely used it. Ammo was hard to come by, you did not want to run out in a firefight. Full auto had a tendency to climb up & to the right. You could fire semi & stay on target better. Not necessarily the good old days.
  2. Went to the show for a while, this am. Huge crowd, lots of gun buyers, large crowds waiting to make a purchase. Prices seemed to be their already high self. Left with my small amount of money in my pocket. Will edit to add this. One dealer had a lot of military ammo, armor piercing rounds for 5.56, 9mm, 30 cal, M16 parts, etc. Can't recall ever seeing that before.
  3. Walmart in Lebanon pulled theirs too, but came back 2 days later. Go figure.
  4. Yep! No way around it that I've ever found. Throw light & trickle.
  5. I was in Academy in Mt.Juliet Sat. afternoon. shelves were empty, maybe 6 or 8 boxes of looked like hunting caliber. They may have some behind the counter for gun sales, IDK. Zero reloading of any kind.
  6. FWIW, RK Shows will be back in Lebanon this Sat/Sun Nov. 7 & 8. Nov.7, is my birthday, so, if anyone wants to meet me at the gun show & buy me a gun, I'll go along with it. Just saying.............LOL
  7. I have a Forster Co-ax press I've had a few yrs. Best move I've made. Any die will work fine, but you will need to use the Forster lock rings. I gave $300 for mine. You'll love it, congrats, & good luck on your hunt.
  8. Just a side note, FWIW, RK Shows do not have anything scheduled for the 'boro the rest of the year, just Lebanon in this area.
  9. Show is better than the old shows years ago, which were useless as tits on a boat hog. Much better mix of the sexes & ages. Still have some of the usual non-gun junk. Some place to go when you've got nothing better to do.
  10. Makes me want to rush out & buy an AR-15, just to take advantage of this great offer! NOT!!
  11. RK shows back in Lebanon tomorrow & Sun. Anyone going? Guess I'll give it a look, just for the heck of it.
  12. Covid or not, it & the Cobra are grossly overpriced. I'll pass.
  13. Looks like a good site. I'll have to check it out further. Thanks
  14. I've used LSN, it's based in Cookeville. Sold my Mustang there. Used truck prices are thru the roof.
  15. They had guns, I didn't look that close, because I wasn't looking for one. I'd give them a call before I traveled very far.
  16. Didn't really know where I should put this, so just stuck it here. Went in Buds Tues, on the way to Pigeon Forge. Lot of empty space. Seems to have several guns, but gear was sorely lacking. Lots of Kiosk like displays, but sparsely stocked. Not what I last saw last year. Sign of the times, I guess.
  17. Years ago, back in the 70's, early 80's, I would get the flu ( sick in bed, couldn't get up or feed my self, flu ). Felt like someone had taken burlap I rubbed my shin raw all over. After I started taking the flu shot every year, no more flu. I get mine at the VA as soon as it comes available. Hopefully get one Fri. as I have an appt. anyway.
  18. The jaws do have to be changed ( or reversed ), depending on the cartridge. This doesn't happen with every cartridge, many use the same jaws. I did have to buy an extra set for the 45/70. The rest, fits anything I have encountered. You can use any die you like, but will want Forster rings. I did buy Forster precision dies for a .308. Personal choice, not necessarily required. Like anything else, some swear by Ford, some Chevy. Go with what suits you. Personally, I wish I had ran across the Co-Ax years ago. Might have added a few years to my life span, LOL.
  19. LOL, well, I saw that after I enlarged it. Reason I asked, was because of recoil vs, plastic wire ties.
  20. Curiosity. What caliber rifle is this?
  21. It took quite a while here, too. Getting grant work done ( you know how Gov. things go), then holding neighborhood meetings to explain the system & process. After I signed up the next day, it took about a year, before actual installation. Everything had to start from scratch. Cables run, in a rural area. After all was done, it was worth the wait. Hang in there, it's a long, but methodical process.
  22. Doug, I told AT&T to take a hike decades ago. They are NOT consumer friendly, couldn't care less about the customer. Went with Verizon for a while. Now the local electric service ( Tri-County Electric ), has, thru a grant, installed fiber optic in some rural areas. Unlimited data, faster speeds, half the price of Verizon. So far, no issues at all.
