Hollow Point load testing and the results.

I use XTP 124 gr in my 9mm as well. Great stuff. Also used XTP in my 40 &W when I had one. Got rid of it & gave 3300+ rds I had loaded to the local Sheriffs Dept. They were glad to get 'em. Ammo is scarce as we all know. -
Greg, I know that feeling all too well. Back in the mid 70s, I fished Cordell Hull 2 or 3 times a week for crappie. Always caught a lot of fish. Fished from one end of the lake to the other, year around. Sold that boat, then about 10 yrs later, bought a new boat, headed back to Cordell to all my old hot spots. Zero fish/bites. Embarrassed myself. Problem was, when I fished before I kept up with what they were doing, where, depth, etc. Had totally lost out with them. It happens. Funny little story on my Dad & me. It was Aug. , hot, mid day. We went to Defeated creek, where I had been catching fish. He said, "it's too hot, you won't catch anything now". I said, we'll see. I pulled up to a drop off where there was brush just under the water. I told him just drop your line right there. He started catching fish. He said I would not have believed that. LOL. Moral of the story, you have to keep up with what they're doing. Cover, depth, etc. Takes a while & patience, something I have in short supply these days. Maybe you'll do better. Good luck my friend, wish I could go with you, but not in the cards.

Way to go Bob. Gives us old farts hope, LOL.

So sorry I missed that.

Las Vegas Raiders head coach, Jon Gruden, has resigned. Allegations of racist & homophobic remarks he made years ago, caused an uproar that created his resignation. He was in year 4 of 10 year contract.

I don't like Jerry either, but we're stuck with him as long as he's breathing.

I'd say you're right. Titans are average at best. Can't really say I was surprised by the Bill's, due to KCs lack of defense, but the Chargers have been somewhat surprising.

Kansas City got their butts whupped last nite by Buffalo Bills, 38 - 20 . Not really a surprise, Chiefs defense is sub par, offense gotten too predictable. Teams have caught on to their style, and countered it. Gonna be a disappointing season if they don't fix things. A bit late to fix the D. They spent a bunch of money to fix the O line, left the D hanging. The Bill's are looking like a possible SB contender. Still early yet. Key injuries could kill that.

Google Tennessee State Parks. That'll tell you what's available & where.

I decided not to go, had football games I wanted to see. Sounds like I made the best choice.

Al Wilson was a goodun for sure. Congrats to him. My Cowboys won again today vs a banged up Giants team. Now 4- 1. One loss to Tampa Bay by 2 pts.

That it was. Alabama #1 no more. I was pulling for A&M, but thought they had blew it, but they pulled it out.

I was there with the Westmoreland Rescue squad. Quite a day & nite. Also at Adolphus,KY. One woman there drowned when her car was washed into a creek. Hartsville was flooded also. I was working in Hartsville. factory was flooded & closed. I headed to Westmoreland & went into rescue mode the rest of the day & nite. Bad business. Bad thing was, RBS was offered to build containment dams to prevent that. They turned it down. Cost them dearly.

Quavodus, you may remember that. RBS got washed away.

In 1969, I was on the way to work one morning. listening to that on the radio. There were strange clouds in the sky, later that am, we had a flash flood for the ages. Never forgot that. Scary.

I love the heck out of that. Always fun to watch. Enjoyed watching the Huey gunships. Rocket pods then were stationary, and the Huey had to be tilted for aim. It worked well. Pilots were my heroes. These young guys were crazy good.

Love to, but don't have cable/ sat. Tks, tho.

Sounds interesting, but a bit far for me.

That they do. They are now loaded to the gills in armament.

Definitely, I made a suggestion yrs ago to put a M60 every 600 yds in a tower, fire on the first few across, the rest would take the hint.

Saw a lot in 'Nam I'll never forget, but the most amazing thing was "Puff The Magic Dragon" gunship. This was an AC47 modified with 2 General Electric miniguns in the left side of the plane. Capable of sending 6000 rds per minute to the ground ( usually 300 ). I could literally rain unholy hell down on the enemy. My first & only encounter was one Sun. nite, after we had been in a firefight all weekend. Finally finished that, just as we were getting ready to rest for the nite , we were ordered to go to the base of a mountain where B Co. was in a firefight in a village. We were to be a blocking force to prevent B Co from getting caught in a cross fire. Shortly, Puff showed up, and rained down fire on the enemy. One solid stream of fire from plane to the ground. Every 5 rds was a tracer. I'd heard about Puff during Infantry training, but this was simply awesome to see. Later, mods have been made. Now there is even a Howlitzer. Here's a screen shot of the firepower.

Part of the fun, LOL
