I had 2 stolen in '86, Model & SN provided to police. Maybe mine will show up then. I keep a record of all mine, including pictures.

This is nothing new. Police have used this tactic forever. It is legal. In court as evidence, not. I've never been overly fond of the tactic , but if it gets a major felon off the streets, I can justify it. Sometimes you have to make a deal with the devil, so to speak. Just the way the system works.

Affordable means different prices to different people. I bought a Henry H010 in 45/70 nearly 2 yrs ago. Paid about $800+, including the fees/ tax. Well built rifle, nice walnut, and the best customer service in the business, if you ever need it. Made in the USA or not at all. Also makes for a great heirloom to pass to the next generation. Of course, like everything else these days, prices have gone up some. The newer models now have both the original tube loading, plus a side gate.

Disagree. The Sherriff's Dept. I worked for had work crews doing the above. Still do. No complaints from anyone. All the counties I know of do the same.

LOL, I was wondering the same thing. I would suggest working in a jail or prison before speaking on how inmates should be treated. I worked in the county jail 3 yrs. I won't go into details, but they're not there for singing too loud in the choir.

Didn't really have a dog ( Pun ), in the hunt, just tired of Saban & Ala. Ga. finally got on track in the 2nd half, def. really stepped up late & won the game. Int. late kinda sealed the deal, Young sacked several times late.

Final score, Ga. 33 Ala 18. Heck of a game. Didn't see it on TV, had to listen on radio. Made my day..........

Had a whopping 1 deg this am,on 2 thermometers. Obviously, the snow hasn't budged.

7" so far in Trousdale Co. Still snowing. Made the trek to Hartsville & back. Roads a mess. Saw a couple hang ups , no issues myself. 22 deg now.

Yep, I remember that. Quite a mess. Plus, TN has the best snow drivers on the planet. NOT!
