    RUGER LC9

sounds like a good problem, I like rugers
  2. When you dry fire a Glock they do sound like a daisy red rider bb gun
  3. thanks for all the replies, I will keep them all loaded as many as they will hold. Broomhead, the Barny Fife statement was funny as hell.
  4. I keep hearing to rest magazine springs by unloading them occasionally or keeping them downloaded one or two rounds, is there any truth to this? to me, it defeats the purpose of having them.
  5. if your in a self defence situation, chances are your better off with whatever weapon you have, and even if its not of the highest quality, it should fire off a few rounds without a problem. And remember, the best weapon is the one you have on you.
  6. good choice, but work towards getting hers to use .357, its not as bad to shoot as a lot of people say and alot more effective.
  7. Any ruger is a great gun, you can read all over the internet and find how good they are. Revolvers, semi's, whatever. you made a good choice and it is good that they can make a dependable gun that people can afford. I have a 30 year old security six .357 revolver and its tough as a tank. The 300.00 + price is only a good thing, just means ruger is reasonable.
  8. Nice gun, but maybe the extra grease is for break in. check with somebody that knows more about it before you remove it, because if its never been fired, its there for a reason. also you got a very good deal
  9. My wife has a J38 and shoots plus P in it. She loves it. i was suprised at how proud she was to own a handgun, and I love that.
  10. buy it! I got one in 1981 and still have it. You will hear nothing but good about a ruger security six. I read that one gun range had one for a rental and logged 1,400,000 rounds without any repair to the gun. I found that info more than once on the internet. Just google ruger security six and see what you find.

    what do you feel

get a ruger, they are like the mack truck of revolvers.
  13. Ruger revolvers are great guns. I have a ruger security six that I bought 30 years ago, still in excellent condition. You cant wear them out. I think the GP100 replaced the security six, so you made a good choice. hang on to it. some day your great, great, great grandchidren will enjoy having it.

    Ugly Glock?

I think glocks look great, but what counts is reliablity. sledgehammers are not pretty, but they sure can do some damage. And yes truthsayer, thats a sharp looking little glock.
  15. I know what you mean. When my wife got her first revolver, she was more happier than getting a new pair of shoes. I loved it.
  16. I fish at night all the time, and thats most of the reason I want to get a HCP.
  17. Also because I dont claim to be an expert shot yet, but hopefully I will soon be able to put the dots in the right spot.
  18. Uhhh, thanks to everyone else who contributed some good replies.
  19. good question, thanks, i dont know much about it either but glad you asked so I can learn too.
  20. Thanks
  21. I dont have a carry permit yet, but i want to know if handgun permit holders can carry on T.N. lakes and at boat ramps.
