  1. Hey, I want one too. PLease!!! I kinda like it here and I am trying to spread the word.
  2. Im actually attending this one, but there is another Powell auction this Saturday at 9am. This time it's cars, trucks, trailers, GUNS, and other stuff. See it all at Powellauction.com. Lots of pictures of everything.
  3. Most of the ammo sites I've seen offer the can opener if you buy 2 tins or more. I have also seen the openers for sale at the gun shows for $10
  4. Just thought I'd throw this out there, but J- Floyds golf and guns in Sevierville is advertising 91/30 mosins for $75. They are claiming slightly rusted bolts. Might be worth looking at.
  5. Here is what I found out as far as gun sales at the Flea Market at the Drive in. The people running the show dont want firearms laid down on the table as an item for sale, but you can hang it off your hip or maybe set a small sign of the back window of your vehicle. Just kinda keep it quiet. I have a buddy was set up out there last weekend and he sold 2 guns. Just kept it on the down low and talked to a few people and his business was done.
  6. Green acres is not the only flea market in Maryville. There is another in the old furnature store at the far end of the parking lot from the old walmart. If coming from Knox just stay on 129 till you pass the mall on your right. Turn between the mall and Firestone, go to the bottom of the hill and go left. stay straight till you get to the curve in the road and look right. Now im not saying they are selling guns there but just another option. I have not seen any guns at Green acres in years. Have a Great Day
  7. Welcome to Tgo and Tn
  8. Another auction at Powell auction house.
  9. You all seem pretty pleased with the signage at Gander Mountain. I know exactly what that sign says and how to understand it. The problem is I went there 2 weeks ago and the mangager was telling people at the door (including myself) that I had to check in my gun. I was oc as usual. I had already been in the store and went back out to get a rifle in the truck and was bringing back in to check on a scope. The manager again said I had to check my gun and I told her I did not have to because I was not having it worked on. I finally gave in but not before telling the manager they need to revise the sign if the policy had changed and according to the manager the policy did change. Im not sure if the person was just new to the store and did not understand the sign but the rest of you may want to check into it. Just my 2 cents

    Bill of sale...

Thanks for that post. Its a lot better that the one I have drawn up.
  11. Many of you may already know this but I just found it. ammoseek.com I was just browsing for cheap ammo and came across this site. Pretty cool. It lists all your favorite places on one website so you dont have to search the entire web. It lists by caliber, company, price per bulk, price per round and so on.
  12. Hey, Here's the scoop on todays mission. It was a total blast for me, as I have never seen as many firearms for sale at a road side flea market as I did today. It is just as stated, a road side flea market with anything from trunk loads of ak's to bed sheets and everything in betwen. Prices were at about average going rate but a lot of negotiating was taking place. I actually scored a nice sportorized mauser 1891 for a $100 with 20 rounds of ammo. Turns out the guy I bought from was a Tn resident selling in Ky. I did not want the trouble of buying in Ky and transporting back to Tn so the seller met me back in Tn at the flea market in Tazwell. It was obvious as to who was selling out in the open but others I only caught at the last moment as I was leaving as they had trunk loads of firearms. I guess you just have to know who to talk to, and one guy really did have a load of ak's. I did not have the time to talk to him but there my be a next time in the near future. All in all I had a great experience there and would go back. For some of you that have been around this type of thing it may not be your cup of tea. Who knows? Its a bit of a drive but was well worth it for me. Directions are easy. If your in the knoxville area just get on broadway and head toward Ky state line. Go through middlesboro till you hit pineville. Turn right on hwy 119 till it deadends. Go left then in about 1-2 miles you'll see the people set up on the left along side of the road.
  13. I will post up tomorrow. I'm leaving at about 5:30 am. I talked to my buddy to get directions. Should be easy going. Any nice finds and i'll post em. My buddy did tell me today you can find $150 ak's there. I'm doubting that one but he said wait and you'll see.
  14. I am not familiar with the Judges trading day. I dont even know where winchester is. The area I was talking about is right near or in Harlan Ky. The guy I work with has family up that way and he buys and sells guns all the time there. He said you have to be up there early cause by 12 pm they are all packed up and gone. I am going up this Sat and leaving here @6am. Once I get near Harlan I have to call my buddy and he will guide me in the rest of the way.
  15. I was told it was near Harlan Ky
  16. I was just curious, Is anyone familiar with the gun traders flea market in SE Kentucky? I work with a fella who told me about it. I was thinking about heading up that way this weekend to check it out. He said they line both sides of the street to buy, sell and trade. I know and understand all about the buying and selling of weapons across state lines without a ffl transfer, Im just looking for some input if anyone has been up there in the past and is it worth going?

    Taurus 82

I bought a taurus 82 last year at the pawn shop. Got the Pistol, holster, 2speed loaders and speed loader holster for 200 out the door. I have not really shot it a whole lot but I have not had any issues with it at all. I used their website and ran the serials no's and found it to be a 2002 year model. My opinion, its a good gun.
  18. Thanks, I'll just hold on for a while and maybe someone will see my post and help me out.
  19. Good day all. I was wondering if there are any pinball machine techs out there? I have a Robocop that quit on me again. This time I cant figure out what the problem is so now im needing someone to repair it.

  22. Talk about not wanting it twice.. well here's part 2.. this was only 2 seconds and hurt worse than the shot in the back.
  23. Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with the Blount County Sherrifs Citizens Academy this evening. For years I have been wanting to experience the tazer, well I had my wish come true. Tonights class was what the jailers have to go through with unruley inmates and how they tazer them. I asked to volunter and no words can explain fully what it feels like. All I can say is you cannot fight the muscle tightening and the pain which is unexplainable by itself. It was one of the worst 5 seconds of my life. After it was all over and now that Im home and think over what it felt like, I might just do it again next year. I think everyone should do it at least once in their lifetime. Now if I can only figure out how to upload the video here i'll post it.

    Glock 19 question

I think my reply will sum this up really quick. For the last 8 weeks now I have been attending the BCSO Citizens Academy and finally was able to have our clalss moderator run those Glock serial #'s. Well the news is in ( drum roll please) <<>> <<>> <<>> <<>> I am now the current owner of a free and clear Glock 19. The only think I can wish for now is that the same dude I bought it from is willing to come off the Sig he has. Hope I can get if for the same money.
