  1. Who are you assuming (believing without proof) is an atheist? I didn't see anybody describe himself as an atheist, but maybe I missed something?
  2. Romani ite domum!
  3. Gee - now I wish I had said something smarter.
  4. It was predestined that we would have one . . . and then we did.
  5. I can't read all of this - y'all let me know if someone steps out of line.
  6. Well, my manuals are out in the shed and I'm here in the batcave. If you don't get an answer soon, I'll give you one later.
  7. You betcha. The old '94 isn't made of the best steel, it was just the best available in '94. I've loaded 140 grain bullets for them before, but didn't have any data for 156 grain RN bullets.
  8. You get reset to zero.
  9. You may safely presume that I'm shooting two Mausers - '94 and '38 Swedes.
  10. There may be a number of folks whose days are limited. If you don't like it, don't read it. If you can't keep the thread on topic, it'll be closed. Trigem - I do wish you'd stop shouting at people in red. It makes my eyes hurt.
  11. The Assurance tires aren't speed-rated and the dealer can't/won't sell them to me to replace the speed-rated tires. It seems to be a liability issue for them. I'm not sure they're available in the size the Fusion uses, so I might have to change wheels too.
  12. Selmer Hatcheck.
  13. It'll be quicker to read if you avoid reading the nonsense. For example, skip any posts by Jamie - just put him on ignore. Welcome!
  14. I got over 70K on the Firestone radials (yes, the ones that were recalled) on my old Explorer. Best wearing tires I've ever owned. The E load range Generals on the front of my F350 wore out at about 45K. The rears are doing better, but don't look like they'll make it to 60K.
  15. Mileage also depends on the type of tire, not just the manufacturer or price. My wife's Fusion has speed-rated Goodyear Eagle radials and they're good for about 40,000 miles max.
  16. You're announcing your candidacy for Moderator in the next TGO election?
  17. Henry Ford said that, at least according to Henry Ford. He had a massive ego.
  18. My wife gave up on her Bersa because it was too big for her to conceal. Any reasonable holster put the grip in her armpit. She carries an NAA Guardian in .380 now but, due to arthritis, can no longer rack the slide on any semi-auto, blowback or recoil-operated. We're at the point where she'll have to migrate to a revolver. She currently has an NAA mini in .22 mag but I hope to find a .38 Special snubbie that she'll be willing to put up with. If there was a snubbie smaller than a j-frame in maybe .32 mag or .327 mag it would interest both of us. I don't care if it's only 4 shots, as long as she'll carry it. A 2-shot derringer is a definite possibility.
  19. 15 rounds - 5 in the gun and 2 speedloaders.
  20. Recently it's been Budweiser American Ale. I never liked any Bud until I found this one. It's very similar to my favorite home-brew recipe.
  21. It's lack of preparation - not much snow removal equipment, lack of salt and spreaders, not much experience driving in snow. A sudden storm slows things down in the north too, but only for a few hours. Hills and snow are always a bad combination. I never owned a set of chains living in Michigan. The last time I had studded tires on my car was in 1974. That was also the last time I used snow tires. The last time I USED chains was after a 15" snowfall in Augusta GA in 1973.
  22. BTW, I have a LOT of poplar available if anyone in the SE area wants it. I own a lot of trees, but don't burn wood. I have 6 trees on the ground now that were dropped in June, but I'm waiting for cooler weather to finish bucking them. I realize poplar isn't the best firewood*, but it splits easy and it's free. (* just going for more wood will warm you up)
  23. Found it! http://www.accuratepowder.com/data/PerCaliber2Guide/Rifle/Standarddata(Rifle)/264Cal(6.5mm)/6%205%20x%2055%20Swedish%20Mauser%20pages%20229%20and%20230.pdf That's how I find things. As soon as I ask for help, I find it.
