  1. I'm glad to see that at least one had the sense to walk away.

    SNOW!!!

Relax, take a deep breath, it'll be OK.

    SNOW!!!

F-350 Dually, 4WD. Of course I'll be there.
  4. I'll bet he won't!
  5. By golly, that's an interesting idea! Let's list Rights restrictions on the back of our state-issued picture ID cards (DL) -- no gun access for violent felons, no access to children for sex criminals, etc. Better yet, let's list them on the front!
  6. It's in McMinn County, Chilhowee Rod & Gun Club
  7. Yes, Norma's still around and thriving. You can buy their ammo and components just about anywhere. Check Midway's web site. I have some 50 year old M1 Carbine match ammo from Norma that I have full faith in.
  8. There are bargains on the class, if you're lucky enough to live close enough to realize the savings. My club teaches the class for $50 and will even provide a pistol if you bring a box of .22's. I can imagine what a gun safety class taught in public schools would look like. "Get under your desk and place your head between your knees".
  9. I haven't seen Norma handgun ammo, but a lot of their rifle ammo. It's good stuff.
  10. For a point of reference - I bought a spool of Romex to wire my shed in the fall of 2009 for $99. That same spool is now selling for $160.

    I want one... BAD.

    That's why I carry it.

    I want one... BAD.

I don't want to get hit by a paintball gun, but that's no reason I should carry one. When I can carry a bigger pistol, I do. The .22 mag is an up-your-nose gun. I made a conscious decision to carry it, with 5 rounds, instead of a 2 shot derringer in a bigger caliber. Sometimes you're presented with a list of bad options - you do the best you can.

I'm interested too. My wife and I each have one of the .22 Mag revolvers and I carry mine, not daily but a few days a week.
  14. I always take the "Cop seat".

    380

You should try shooting several before choosing. All I know is that the NAA is a nasty little weapon -- maybe all of them are. My wife's PPK bites me also, just in a different place.

    380

NAA Guardian, on the rare occasions that I carry a .380.
  17. Grilled ribeyes, home-grown green beans, baked apples.
  18. You'd be surprised to find out how many of us really did visit Wallyworld the first time we carried! (I did)

    Oh Hai!

    Obviously this is littering.
  20. Beanie's a beautiful Jack. Congratulations!
  21. One of those unlicensed open carry states, Michigan, also has handgun registration and doesn't allow silencers. You're just cherry-picking to prove your point. Tennessee could be better, but we're not doing bad.
  22. I'm old enough that no one questions my Sassafras Shillelagh.
  23. I work in retail. I'm so sick of pop Christmas music I could spit. I'm thankful I don't have to work full-time. I like the music they don't play on radio, like "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and "Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming".
  24. I can see where guns, photography AND amateur radio would be a burden - I've tried them all simultaneously. I didn't have enough money nor time to give each the attention they deserved. I agree that missing a class here or there shouldn't affect your ability to pass the test - just pay attention and maybe do a little studying on your own. The only time I took a class, I took the test at a hamfest and passed before the class was over. For my first two licenses there weren't any classes, question pools or practice exams available, and you missed a day of work to go down to the FCC office. . . . and we had to walk, 10 miles there and 20 miles back, uphill both directions, but we were Thankful!!
  25. You'd think it was the CIA taking apps.
