    Geocaching

I tried it once, but I didn't find the cache and I get bored easily, so . . . .
  2. I can help with the .40's and .44's. I have .380 brass but no bullets or dies. I don't have .44 FMJ bullets - will HP's do? I'll donate the materials and time since it's for training.
  3. My 5' 2" wife shoots and enjoys all of our handguns, from an NAA mini to a 1911 and a 7 1/2" Blackhawk. She carries an NAA .380 because of its size. Her .380 is one of our nastier handguns to shoot, while the 1911 and Blackhawk are a lot more pleasant, due to size and weight. There's no reason a woman can't carry (and shoot well) a .38 j-frame if she so chooses.
  4. Liberty is a good brand.

    Egypt

I'm for letting the Egyptian people pursue happiness in their own way, as long as they keep it in Egypt.
  6. The first time I saw a citizen open-carrying - in Georgia in 1972 - my first reaction was shock. My second reaction was "I want to do that". I did.
  7. They'll find somebody different, better is questionable. The coaches always blame the players and the owners blame the coaches. All I know is that if bad players make teams lose, then the Detroit Lions should be in the Super Bowl instead of the toilet bowl. Losing originates right at the top of the organization.
  8. Go Red Wings!
  9. I've been carrying a S&W J-frame in my pocket for 10 years. It's as small as I care to go. It's in a Kramer horsehide pocket holster and I can comfortably carry it summer or winter -- just need to wear comfortable pants with normal-sized pockets.
  10. For the price of a new Kahr you can buy two used SIG 239's.
  11. I know.
  12. I was there. Most people were taller than me. Everybody drove antique cars. My homeroom teacher was Mrs. Kemper.
  13. I doubt many members of Congress could pass a criminal background check.
  14. Life isn't "fair". Never has been, never will be. No politician can make it "fair".
  15. I live in the sticks and won't leave a GPS mounted in plain sight in my truck, which HAS tinted windows. Maybe 33 years living in the Detroit area has something to do with that. I detest thieves.
  16. Welcome!
  17. Welcome!
  18. Mailorder powder and primers are god-awful expensive -- I wouldn't do it (again) without exhausting all other resources. I'd rather drive 50 miles than pay another Hazmat fee. Bullets are another matter - Missouri Bullet Company is a good source for cast lead pills, usable if you're not going to push them too fast. Personally, I'd get a set of .45 ACP dies (my faves are RCBS and Hornady) and load some before buying more equipment. By the way, Stanley published plans for a workbench several years ago that works fine for reloading. I've built 3. 4x4 legs, 2x4 stretchers, 2x8 foot 1 1/2" thick plywood top. I'll scan my copy and email to you if you're interested.
  19. Sure was! I use only an 8/0 for gators.
  20. That's probably because TN doesn't recognize a DD214 as proof of competency with a handgun or proof of familiarity with TN weapons laws.

  22. How about an Altoids tin?

    Smith & Wesson Model 66.
  24. I'm closing this thread before more idiots get a vacation.
  25. True that this is the "General Off-Topic" part of the forum, but this thread does have a topic, and your post is off-topic. I will ignore it, trust that others will ignore it, and hope that you won't post in this thread again until you have something worthwhile to contribute.
