  1. That's the way to leave. But all you have to do is stop visiting the site. Just use a little self-control. Unfortunately, everything you have posted here is now part of the great Internet Reference Library, where it will live forever.
  2. That's more manly than forcing someone else to kill you, through an imagined 'right'. Cain slew Abel, so it's apparently OK for the rest of us to murder. Oh, and the Pope approves, because he has a gold cup.
  3. Really. A woman, not known to be suffering, not known to be in a persistent vegetative state but only diagnosed as such, being slowly tortured to death, without cause, is better off if someone kills her quickly? That makes it all okey-dokey? No harm, no foul? Is it a mercy killing when the person killed isn't known to be suffering -- when the victim's continued existence is merely inconvenient? Why involve a doctor at all? What do you have against doctors? What do you do when you can't find a doctor to do the dirty work for you? Do you strangle them yourself? Your "Brave New World" is my hell.
  4. Terri Schiavo was murdered through the connivance of her husband, doctors and the court. Her death was ignored by all of the major religious denominations, including the Catholic church, who wouldn't even issue a statement condemning her torment. I begged the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church USA to at least notice the case and make a statement against the ruling. Nothing. She was tortured to death, forced to suffer death through slow, excruciating dehydration. It wasn't euthanasia - even a sick dog is treated better. It was all legal. Is that plain enough?
  5. In that case, the wrong is on the part of the physician. And it's wrong to lead another person into that position, or encourage it if it's their choice. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it. Black or white -- everyone has to answer for their deeds.
  6. I have a .41 percussion derringer that has never fired. Weak mainspring.
  7. An Ithaca M37 12 gauge A couple of Swedish Mausers 3 Smith & Wesson revolvers the rest are just toys.
  8. Everybody does choose their time and method, even if choosing the default. No one has a right to choose assisted suicide. Unassisted is totally up to the victim, but assistance is not a right. Kevorkian walked the edge between legal and illegal until his ego got the better of the little bit of common sense he had left, and he was righteously convicted of murder. Good riddance.
  9. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg have always struck me as Myrtle Beach without the ocean - miles of tourist traps and bad food. As I recall, the Hard Rock Cafe in G'burg isn't posted and the food is OK.
  10. Don't blame the holster. Google for SIGs rusting and you'll get an eye full. This is the first I've heard of the 238's rusting, though. Maybe some Renaissance Wax will help?
  11. It all depends on where you live. Cities suck.
  12. Oh, THOSE people. What a relief - I thought they had been raptured!
  13. As I recall, $4.73/sq ft installed at Lowe's.
  14. I don't know of any Americans who were harmed by the Patriot Act. Who had their Constitutional Rights violated? Who was jailed? Who was killed?
  15. I'm indifferent to her. Never watched the show, never read a story about her, don't care one way or t'other.
  16. Sounds like the voice of experience!
  17. Swing died, jazz died, rock died, disco died, country died and, hopefully, someday soon, this crap will die too.

    Cicadas

I'll bet a bee load would drop one!
  19. I'd bet a .223 softpoint would turn one of those critters inside out. Overkill? How about .22 Mag or .17 HMR?
  20. Armadillo, the O'Bama Hog.
  21. Not enough information. Deck size, engine size & brand, transmission? You're competing with low-end manufacturers when you try to sell it. A lot of people don't see the value in a Cub Cadet when they can buy a 38" , manual transmission, single-cylinder Murray for $799, no payment until Christmas. PS - at 55 hours usage in 3 years, are you sure you NEED a riding mower?
  22. WAIT!!! We're having a spelling bee in a little while!
  23. I looked the subject up on another site. Fuel injectors can fail due to a shorted coil - shorting across the terminals, which is the worst case for shorted turns. So, if the resistance falls, it falls to zero. If you can measure any resistance at all, the injector should be OK electrically. Doesn't mean that it works, just that the coil is intact. Now THAT makes sense to me.

    Cicadas

More likely Katydids. They keep up serenade until the wee hours of the night.
