I have no retention devices on any holster I own (other than shoulder holsters) and I've been carrying for 10 years. I've never needed a retention feature. I have a belt holster that came with a strap, but I cut it off.

In my humble opinion you need to learn to send with a straight key first and paddles second. If and when the SHTF, straight key skills are more easily adaptable to a low-tech environment. Don't know anything about connecting a key to a computer. Personal computers didn't exist when I learned (sad, ain't it?). I built a code oscillator and borrowed a J-38 key to learn to send. It's still possible to do. Congratulations on the new call. They don't take long to arrive these days. Mine came by Pony Express.

Outstanding! When I got my card in Michigan in 2001, it took 4+ months. My wife waited 13 months for hers. Fortunately they issued temp permits after a 30 day wait, but that didn't happen until several months after the law took effect and they saw they had a serious problem. Typical for Detroit.

I have them on my SIG, which I no longer carry. Not target sights, but very fast for acquisition. I love 'em.

When I brought an untitled trailer into Tennessee, the County Clerk was able to verify the law in the state of origin and I was able to get a Tennessee registration and plate. I guess they issued me a Tennessee title, but I'd have to look it up.

I don't consider Henry to be the lower end of the lever gun spectrum. They're every bit as good as Winchester and Marlin, and a good value. I have a Marlin in .44 Mag and a Henry in .22 LR.

65 mph max is a good limit for anyone pulling any trailer with any vehicle.
