  1. I'd sure like to see a Conservative run against him. I promised him a few years ago that I'd never vote for him again.
  2. Eff 'em all.
  3. Just a different set of problems. Some folks love Windows, some love Mac. I'll take Linux.
  4. A great idea for any hiker/hunter/adventurer. My sister-in-law, had she lived, would have been a prime candidate for this device. She traveled by herself and never knew where she was. We've all been places where there was nobody else around and there was no cell-phone signal. All it takes is a chest pain or a broken bone and you're in mortal danger.
  5. Got mine and installed it, haven't shot the rifle yet though. It took longer for me to find my long 3/16 hex wrench and my tube of purple Loctite than it did to install the kit.
  6. No way in Hell! There's nothing I want to see bad enough to go through a pat down.
  7. No, I have Hughes Satellite. No cable or DSL available, hardly a cell phone signal out here in Cornfield County.
  8. Oh, I don't know - he's doing better than me and I'm paying $60/month for my 'service'.
  9. I'm slow, but y'all saw my download speed test results. Slower than normal though.
  10. Read it and weep!
  11. Chilhowee Rod and Gun Club - Home $60 and 50 rounds required.
  12. IMO, the magnum is too much for small game if you're planning on eating your kill or are hunting for pelts. If you're just hunting varmints, the magnum will be great for animals up to coyote size out to moderate ranges. For plinking and hunting small game I'd prefer the .22 LR, for the lower cost and lesser meat damage. It's easier on your ears too.

    Hungry Children

She can move that TV at a pawn shop. After you've seen an out-of-work mechanic pawn his tools, it doesn't seem like much to pawn a TV. Of course, if you just HAVE to see Dancing with the Stars . . . .
  14. I'm interested and I have $15, unlike some others around here.
  15. .22 LR, .22 Magnum or some centerfire .22?

    Hungry Children

I can believe some children being hungry due to parental neglect, and some adults being hungry due to mental or drug problems. But I don't believe anything published in the media.
  17. If he truly wanted to help the economy he'd resign.
  18. Neither, and never have been a member of either party.
  19. I have one to install too, but I just want to get it in before Veteran's Day. Like you I've had several temporary poles in the past, but I'm here for good and I bought a 20 ft aluminum pole back on Memorial Day. I'm just waiting for cooler weather to dig the hole. I have a nice Old Glory, a Tennessee flag, a Marine Corps flag and a Gonzales (Come And Take It) flag for the appropriate occasions. There will be more. You can do it - take your entrenching tool and stick it in the dirt. That's the easy part.
  20. Here's another recommendation for the RCBS Rockchucker kit. As I recall, die sets are in the $40 range (I haven't bought any in a while). MEC 600 Jr. presses are dandy for shotshells, but they are gauge-specific -- you need a separate press for each gauge. Gauge changeover is possible but slow and difficult. Ebay is a good place to look for used shotshell presses. Buy a good reloading book and find out what you need for successful reloading. The RCBS kit has what you need and nothing that you don't need.
  21. Looks like Budweiser American Ale tonite. Good stuff!
  22. Patience - you'll hear from David. He has a full-time job and a family.
  23. I usually use London Broil when it's on sale for $2.50/lb or so. I marinate the sliced beef overnight in the following marinade and dry it in a dehydrator: 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp Worcestershire, 1/2 tsp Tabasco, 1-1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash, 1 tsp Liquid Smoke. It makes very tasty jerky that was really popular when I sent it to Iraq a couple of times. I buy soy sauce by the gallon at Gordon Food Service.
