  1. I'm proud to say I'm no longer a Win 10 user. Good Lord what a mess that "OS" is!
  2. Pins are cheap - I buy them in bulk.  :D
  3. I'm going to put Win7 or Linux on my laptop. Can't do it gracefully as Win 10 isn't easy to remove in my computer's current sorry state. Looks like I'll need to reformat the drive. Win7 may well be my last version of Winders. 10 has left a bad taste in my mouth!
  4. Dry martinis and hand-rolled cigars.  That's where it's at.
  5. Win 10 crashed beyond recovery on both of my laptops. Just went south and none of the built-in tools could recover. One of the laptops is now happily running Win7 again, the other is being reloaded with apps after a Win10 reinstallation. I am much less than thrilled. At least one of them could become a Linux machine.
  6. Hope is not a plan - it's the absence of one. We'll get more of the same.
  7.   No kidding?  My wife and I were born and raised in the Morgantown area.  Small world . . .   BTW, welcome back!
  8. My home state also. I left 44 years ago, lookin'for a job.
  9. That's my boys! Tn could do the same, but not by sitting on our hands.
  10. Welcome from t'other end of Tennessee!
  11. Sounds like the Wolf Creek dam on the Cumberland.
  12. I rotate two external hard drives and keep them in a fire-resistant container in another location. No cloud storage for me, even if I had the connection speed to make it feasible. Don't trust anybody!
  13. I have one that I got at Northern Tool - has the compressor, usb port, light.  I charge it every few months, but it's never gone dead on me.
  14. Gerber, for one, makes very similar knives for a small fraction of the price.  I can't see it unless the gubmint is going to buy me one too.
  15. How about repairing yours while you wait?
  16. New Benefactor here also.
  17. Just cut a piece of open-cell foam to fit and jam it in.
  18. Welcome!
  19. A lot of ex-cops didn't have the patience. Those who stay tell me "it's a calling". I couldn't do it.
  20. I bought a lot of guns before the internet existed. The web is no more a necessity than cell phones or Kanye West.
  21. All modern 20 gauge hulls are yellow.
  22. My Goodman heat pump was junk - died in 5 years.  Now running a Trane.
  23. Free advice is worth what you pay for it.  Including mine.   Live long and prosper . . . .
  24. Do yourself a favor and talk to a professional investment advisor.
  25.   I had a significant paper loss last month also.  I'm letting it ride and rolling the dice again this month.
