  1. I have the big dots on a Sig. I like 'em, but prefer a laser for low-light situations. Sent from my MZ604 using Tapatalk
  2. Several of those already listed, plus: .30 Carbine
  3. Yep, and I voted yesterday.
  4. Electric Head, Pt. 1, The Agony -- White Zombie
  5. Thanks - I sent the message to my son.
  6. Easy to say when you're not the one trying to live on $9/hour plus commissions.
  7. The last time I sold a special order at Lowes, I got about 1% commission, down from 4% a few years ago. Next month, there's no commission. I get commission only on special orders. With no commission, It's not worth my time to order anything for a customer, as the next customer in line is going to buy something we have in stock. At the currrent time, my store has less than half the stock we had 5 years ago. Empty spots on the shelf stay empty for weeks. We sure ain't Cabelas! BTW, hourly pay at Lowes is just enough to starve to death slowly.
  8. Looks like a really good idea.
  9. Isn't the cocked hammer a snag point on the draw?
  10. Who carries a cocked-and-locked P238 in a pocket? How do you like it?

    Your First Car!

'59 Ford Anglia. 36 Horsepower and used them all!
  12. Looks good on Xoom tablet w/Chrome.
  13. I think their main value is that they wick moisture, yet don't melt when burned, so that the medics don't have to pick melted polyester out of burn wounds.
  14. IMHO, take it. Kentucky isn't all that bad, and it beats the hell out of states farther north, including one where I lived for 33 years.
  15. Welcome! I've spent some time in Ten Mile - great place for peace and quiet.
  16. I used a do-it-yourself kit from Dacy (probably no longer available) about 30 years ago. Printed it up on the old dot-matrix and signed and notarized. I DID learn that if you store your will in a safe-deposit box, it should be a jointly-owned box with your spouse. You should let someone know where the will is stored.
  17. I'm here, but I'm snowblind. I'll be back when the colors change!
  18. Just 1 guest - homemade pork barbeque, baked beans, tater salad, chips and beer. The homemade beer won't be ready for a few weeks yet - poor planning on my part.
  19. I adjusted mine to approximate point of aim at about 10 yards.
  20. I tried to convince my wife that her trouble with slides was related to her trouble with jar lids - that she needed some exercises to develop her hand and arm strength. I was ignored. There's only so much you can do.
  21. Yeah, but what did you have for breakfast?
  22. Who remembers fried mush, scrapple and salt fish (yes, fried, salted cod fillets) for breakfast? Or was that just a West Virginia po' folk thing? Oh, that reminds me of a delicacy I learned to love in Michigan - kippers. Kippers are smoked herring. Fry one in an iron skillet with a little lemon juice and onion slices and you had one of the best accompaniments to a cold 6 pack imaginable. I haven't seen a kipper in a store (Michigan or anywhere) in many years.
  23. Maybe Gander Mountain also.
