  1. I agree with the OP - chemotherapy is barbaric. I've seen its work, and from what I can see, it makes the patient welcome death. I also have a friend who's survived 7 years with untreated pancreatic cancer. Makes you wonder . . .
  2. I've always just posted meaningless drivel. But the Mods like me.
  3. That's the safe bet.
  4. The catcher on my Rockchucker is a green plastic tray that wraps around the base of the press. It only spits a small percentage onto the floor. The new design must be 'progress'.
  5. Assuming you have the chance to buy either rifle used, and both are of similar age and condition -- would you expect to pay roughly the same for either rifle, or is one worth more than the other? Why?
  6. Try a Chiropractor first (especially before surgery). Maybe you're getting too old for this? :-) The first sign that you're getting too old is when your hair starts thinning.
  7. If GM fails, the demand for new vehicles that they formerly supplied doesn't go away. A new company, maybe using GM's old facilities, will pick up the slack. You'll probably get a better vehicle for less money. What's so magical about the GM label anyway? Ask a Kia owner. As a 30 year Ford employee, I'll continue to buy Fords. Not just because I get a discount *, but because I know the people who design and build them. * you can too - pm me.
  8. A flat $24 in my county. If you think that's high, check out Michigan!
  9. I wish I still had my HW-101 too.
  10. How are you going to learn how to use your ham equipment before the SHTF emergency without using it illegally? Ham radio in the US is about 100 years old, and the government still hasn't started giving away licenses (international treaties forbid that), and it's still self-policing. Don't expect to get a free license, or expect to see the opening of the ham bands to unlicensed operators any time soon.
  11. Online, the used Peacemakers are selling for up to 10 times what I paid for mine new in 1973. They haven't been made since 1977.
  12. I guess I'm not in the militia - unless the militia has desk jobs. I ain't as able-bodied as I used to be.
  13. I saw his booking photo - looked like sh**! He's fallen on hard times.
  14. I'd turn you in to the FCC and smile while doing it. What's your objection to getting a license? They cost $10 and pre-teens pass the test all of the time. PM me and I'll help you get started on the path to a license.
  15. Are you thinking of the Tennessee State Guard? http://www.tnmilitar...StateGuard.html The Tennessee State Guard is more like a militia than the National Guard, but an unarmed militia in baggy uniforms.
  16. Here's a couple of dandies: The Ruger is pretty affordable, the Colt not so much. Both are .22/.22 Mag convertibles.
  17. Inletting wood is like parking a boat - ya gotta sneak up on it slow. I spent 40 hours on the barrel channel of my first kit pistol, and it was "95% inletted".
  18. New Enfield ad - "You're sadly mistaken. I know Libertarianism and I ain't."
  19. Area 51
  20. Hitler beat Vader??? What was the score?
  21. Fight Organized Crime - Never Re-elect Anyone! (I think I've heard that somewhere before).
  22. I don't see any reason why you can't. It's legal to both own them and privately transfer them as far as I know. Maybe someone with better info will chime in.
