Good advice there. The pilot has a low oxygen sensor in it that will not allow the flame to burn if it's not clean. Had the same problem a year or so ago and a shot of canned air cured it.

We raised a Midwestern Painted Turtle for several years. We found her as a hatchling in Michigan and her name was Josefina. Odd how you can get attached to a turtle, but it happens.

What's not going on around here, and hasn't for the last 3 years, is significant new construction. Sure toilets, kitchen cabinets, rugs and flooring sell for remodel jobs, but 2/0 copper wire is not selling like it used to. No 2/0 = no new foundation-built homes. I recall that, year before last, the local paper reported that there had been exactly one building permit issued in the county during the year for a new home. That's the way I see it. I keep my files local, backed up on multiple media - hard drives, DVD's, flash drives. Maybe SSD's next. If I do any off-site storage, it'll be just one copy of many. I'm more concerned with loss of data than unauthorized access. My data is of personal value only.

Intimidation is the answer, IMO. They DON'T want him in court, testifying as to what he knows as a result of his investigation. They don't want that info as part of the record. What we need is Sheriff Joe in front of a grand jury, with a prosecutor like Thomas Dewey (if there is one).
