1. When you eventually find them in bulk, buy several thousand.  These shortages have been occurring every couple of years.  Don't pay Hazmat shipping unless you can't find them on the shelf anywhere.
2. Prayers sent.
3. Knowing politicians, unless you want to start a collection, I'd wait until the bill becomes law before dropping a couple of bills on a knife you probably won't get to carry.
4. You may not care for inexpensive knives, but the Boker Kalashnikov seems to be a well-built auto knife, and at ~$40, you can't beat the value.   I lose knives too often for a $300 knife to appeal to me.
5. "If the states fail to pass these acts, we will have our answer: If federalism fails – if the states capitulate or are crushed by the federal usurpation of powers, then the American experiment in Liberty will pass into history as a bright but brief flame, having illuminated what might have been if only humans were capable of restrained self-government."     http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/53545
6. You can practice for the apocalypse at Guthrie's Redneck Zombie Paintball every October at Guthrie's farm in Riceville TN.  Look it up on the web. I volunteered loading guns for them last year and loaded over 50,000 paintballs in one evening.  It's dark, so you walk them in like tracers on a Russian tank.
7. Poor babies!  I'd rather see Biteme have to fly tourist and get groped by the TSA.  They might find his gonads!

22lr price

Well, it wasn't really a fortune, and the rounds were better spent sighting in the red dot sight on my 10/22.  I'm no expert any more, but if a pie plate attacks me at 50 yards or closer, he's dead meat.

Man, I shot up a FORTUNE last Wednesday.
10. I buy bulk patches at a gun show every few years.
11. From Fox News, 3/4/13:   "Sen. Robert Menendez sponsored legislation with incentives for natural gas vehicle conversions that would benefit the biggest political donor to his re-election, the same eye doctor whose private jet Menendez used for two personal trips to the Dominican Republic, an Associated Press investigation found."   Gee, I wonder how often that happens?
12. I sold 3/4 of my guns to my son last week, via a notarized bill of sale. He was going to get them eventually anyway.
13.   I'd bet that's true, if the scrap value is 4.9 cents.     If the Gov's losing money minting nickels, what do they care?  It ain't their money being wasted.  All of those bronze dollars are sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
14. And you need to be able to launch tear gas and burn down houses (with people in them).  Can't let ATF and FBI have all the fun!   Glad to see the launchers and sub-guns gone, but they'll just go to another "agency".
15. He couldn't do worse than the Dems have done - Detroit is a ####hole.
16. The big problem is the 15-20% efficiency of crystalline solar panels and their cost.  The best you can hope for is about 10 watts/sq.ft. of panel, only when the sun shines.  Double the efficiency and it halves the square footage required, but if it doubles the cost per square foot, then you're back at square one.  If the cost of generated electricity goes thru the roof, then the equation changes.   Could it be that the Federal subsidies for solar panels are just payback from Congress to major campaign contributors - encouraging consumers to buy solar equipment to increase business for the solar panel peddlers?  Good technology doesn't need subsidies to make it viable.   In my opinion, after all these years, the best implementation of solar power is still a wood-burning stove.
17.   You've got that right.  They deal the cards and it's their deck.  What a deal!
18. As in, "Doesn't make financial sense to do unless you get your neighbors to help pay for it".
19. I'm old enough that people don't give me a second glance when I carry a cane.  :D
20. I wouldn't.  I've been fighting Japanese Honeysuckle, Multiflora Rose and Ailanthus trees for years.  All non-native, all invasive.     You may manage your bamboo plot while you live there, but what about afterwards?
21. There's nothing easier to reload than .38 Special. I use cast bullets from Missouri Bullet Co and Bullseye.
22. 1. it's nobody's business why you carry a cane. 2. if you must, tell 'em your hip or knee hurts - 40 is old enough.
23. I'd try Henry again. E-mail Tony Imperato and you'll get the right part.
24. E-5 comes slowly, if at all, in the reserves (from personal experience), but anybody but a goofball made E-4 out of AIT.
