  1. Lowe's carries a couple of outdoor antennas by RCA.
  2.   That's what I did.  Actually, I got better reception with the antenna on a 15 foot mast in my back yard than I do with it mounted higher in the attic.  The signals are patchy due to obstructions and reflections.
  3. I'm on my 2nd year with a Tracfone dumb phone.  Best deal I've found for cellular service.  Total cost $215 so far, and I have service until next June.
  4. Antennaweb tells me I have no reception at my house.  It's wrong.
  5. I'm 50 miles from Knoxville and pick up 6, 8, 10 and 43 with a Winegard omnidirectional amplified antenna mounted in my attic.
  6.   Bye!  Y'all take care.
  7.   28?  I have older neckties!!!
  8. I was on Arpanet, using Delphi, before Algore invented the internet.
  9.   My son had one.   I'm a REALLY OLD fart.
  10.   I did, and you got your windshield cleaned and your oil checked too.  Never got out of the car, and you were thanked for your business.   Hmmm - old fart I am.
  11. Do you have ANY idea how dangerous that is to everyone on the highway!
  12. What's the rough pricing on those stag grips w/bark?
  13. We did 5 dozen ears of sweet corn in July, and a half-bushel of green beans last week.  This week - tomatoes.  Hafta can - the freezer's full of Black Angus.  LG!
  14. WRONG!  If I were the parents, I wouldn't comply.  Who does this "judge" think he is, Andy By-God Jackson?
  15. Thanks for the info - I'll be applying for my geezer permits next spring.  :D
  16. Lot's of farmers in my area, gonna give 'em the hay from my yard if they cut and bale it.
  17.   If you can hear thunder, you can be struck by lightening.  A young girl near here was struck yesterday evening.   I like rain, like to sit on the porch with a beer and a cigar while it rains.  Hate severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings because of Skywarn spotter activations.
  18. Ditto  - handled one at Cabela's last week.  It's not the same gun as my 24V - not even close.  Same name and 2 barrels, but that's it.
  19. Automotive engineer, 29 years.
  20. I regenerate them on a cookie sheet at 250 degrees. Never read the web instructions. They were expensive the last time I bought them - $110/thousand for 3/4 gram packets.
  21. What is your purpose in posting this shit?  Why not a story on the Soapbox Derby?
  22. There are certain officers who don't like to give tickets, even though there are enough speeders, line-crossers, and red light-runners out there to keep an army busy.  Traffic stops are the number one way that intoxicated drivers, druggies and people with warrants against them are caught.   You pay the taxes that pay  the cop's salary.  You buy him a car and gasoline to drive around.  Wouldn't you like to see him actually doing something in those 8 hours, like respond to at least 4 calls and make 4 traffic stops?   That's what 'quotas' are - minimal work standards for cops.
  23. Due to the sensitive issue of Black racism, the thousands of thieves who stole the assets of Detroit will never be prosecuted.  They're prosecuting a few at the top - Kilpatrick, Ferguson, etc., but the little guys who feathered their nests with the tax and loan proceeds will get away with their crimes.
  24. Detroit failed because of black thuggery.  The auto industry had nothing to do with Detroit's failure.  The media are trying to blame it on everything from unions to 'white flight' to white racists to the auto companies, but Coleman Young started it, the voters were the enablers, race was the weapon and Obama's hit to the economy in 2009 accelerated the collapse.  The loss of businesses and population were a reaction to the way Detroit was run.  A REACTION - not the cause.   It was inevitable and I'm glad to see it happen.  If the federal government can restrain itself from bailing out Detroit, maybe some good will come of the bankruptcy.  If they're bailed out they'll learn nothing.
  25. They dragged Cabela's into the story for the same reason they refer to Trayvon Martin as being an "unarmed child" (as if a slab of sidewalk isn't a weapon).   It fits the Liberal narrative.
