Magazine Wear

We need a sticky on this question, also on the "best oil/grease" topic.  It's getting tiresome.   On magazines, follow the manufacturer's recommendation, or your best buddy's recommendation, or your gut feelings.   Same with oils.   That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.
2. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
3. We canned corn, green beans, tomatoes and pickles this year.  The larder is well stocked, and a power outage won't affect it.   My mother lived a good part of her life without electricity, so naturally she learned canning from her mother.  She continued to can all her life, I picked it up from her and my wife learned it from me. I also taught my wife how to diaper a baby and mix a bottle of formula.  :D
4. Don't know about cost, but I think home-canned food tastes better, plus I enjoy doing it. Being a poor hunter, I concentrate on veggies and buy my meat. :D
5. I'd like to see them charged with a civil rights conspiracy.
6. The height of the brass means nothing.  Do you mean they're high velocity?  If you search by shot size/shot weight/velocity you'll probably find more choices.   www.ammoseek.com

Clubhouse. McMinn County TN
8. That's kinda like sitting down at the poker table, looking around for the sucker, and not seeing one.  Bad news!
9. They hit our feeders, and our hibiscus, mandevilla, and butterfly bushes. We love watching the little warriors.
10. I don't really care much about the political opinions of the people who make the tools I use.  I use Linux Mint, and I carry a Leatherman.  I even watch Turner Classic Movies (TCM).  I can't boycott everyone I disagree with - then I'm just punishing myself.   By the way, Leatherman's warranty sucks.  :D
11. All 50 states and some 140 countries - Russia, Iceland, Japan, Australia, Antarctica, etc.  All on amateur radio, all 100% legally.
12. So far, it still takes more energy to create free hydrogen than you get from using it to generate electricity, run an engine, etc..  I don't know how we're going to get around that problem.  But heck, the sun runs on hydrogen it, so why can't my Ford?  :D
13.   Where is this Lee Manor in Athens?  I've never heard of it.
14. If you have the best interests of the dog and your neighbors at heart, you'll keep it in a fenced-in area.  A dog is like a 4-year old kid - you wouldn't let a 4-year old kid run around unsupervised, would you?
15. Not me!!  My wife feeds them in the back yard all year long.  She'd divorce me.
16. I shot one once.  Stalked him over portions of 3 days, finally shot him from 15 feet with a .22.   He was a creature of habit.  :D   I enjoy watching them and, if they're not pests, I leave them alone.
17. I've carried one on occasion for over 10 years.
18. If you ever go to Dayton by way of McMinnville, Spencer and Pikeville, you'll never do it again!
19. Not in many years.
20. I did it!
21. Yup, that's the important thing - did you get the bee?  Did he have a nice rack on him?
22. The Chattanooga area seems to be highly thought of, though I wouldn't want to live in the city.  Cleveland is just outside of Chattanooga and is a nice smaller city with some shopping, and they have some building going on for new stores, etc.   From Cleveland north to I-40 (along the I-75 corridor) is farm country - more cows than people.
23. I traveled up there from Georgia, but wasn't in a union.  I got back south as soon as I could.  33 years in the Detroit area - what an experience!  I gave my snowblower away the day I left.  :D
24. I use bacon grease on everything.
25. I'd like to see the court preserve liveable pensions for the retirees in Detroit, but I don't think the other creditors will stand for it.  Accountants don't have hearts, especially when they travel in packs.
