  1. I bought an RCBS Rockchucker kit 30 years ago and have never needed anything faster or better. All of the kit components are high quality and things you really need. You'll also need a tumbler, a case trimmer, a stuck case remover and a bullet puller, in addition to dies for each caliber. I own both RCBS and Hornady dies and both are high-quality.
  2. 1. Don't charge a lead-acid battery indoors. You'll want a gel-cell or AGM battery for indoors. 2. The best solar panels will give you about 10 watts per sq ft of panel when the sun is shining brightly. It takes a large panel to keep a battery charged during daily usage. Nothing wrong with using the sun to charge batteries, but I'd have more than one big battery and charge them from the grid before the power goes out.
  3. I've used Iolo System Mechanic for years, along with AVG to keep my Windows machines clean and running as well as a Windows machine can.
  4. Nothing but rain here so far in the SE.
  5. I had my credit card number stolen in Canada at a 'petrol' station.  I'll carry more cash the next time.
  6. I have some pesos I'll sell ya cheep!
  7. I just borrowed that to help me make more friends on Facebook.  :D
  8. Jesse?  Jesse?  Where is Jesse?   Guess he didn't see any way to squeeze a nickel out of someone.   I'm sure the Reverend Jackson is preaching somewhere this morning.
  9. A taser, if it doesn't kill you, is intended to incapacitate you.  Make you defenseless.  Leads to all sorts of possibilities.  It's not a friendly act.  Rock breaks scissors.
  10. 9th grade gym class.
  11. You've come to a better place.  Welcome!
  12. The first time I got a senior discount on coffee at McDonalds, I didn't ask for it.  Little azzhole!
  13. Yesterday I could have hunted from my front porch - had a doe come into my yard twice while I was sitting out there.
  14. By golly, that would get an FAL into and out of a motel room discreetly!  Wonder what the inside looks like?
  15. I use FF and Chrome, no complaints from AVG.
  16. I've used one for years, along with oil and Renaissance Wax. The combination works fine. I monitor the temp inside the safe to make sure it stays above room temp.

    The "Get Home" Gun

And that applies to Tennessee.  Other states may be different.

    The "Get Home" Gun

I carry an AR and a significant handgun on all road trips outside the local area.  With spare ammo & mags as required.   A nice thing about the AR carbine is its size and the nondescript carry cases you can get for it.  Simplifies transfers into/out of motel rooms.  I just can't blend in the same way with an FAL.  :D
  19. A lot of people mentioned this 11/12/13 thing the last time it happened, as I recall.

    Books

Reading "Lee's Lieutenants", the abridged Kindle version.   A really good read if you're a history buff.   I've been reading Livy's "History of Rome" for well over a month and haven't made it to Julius Caesar yet.  LOOONG book and a little dry.   I'm addicted to Ralph Cotton westerns, but I'm nearly caught up and he isn't writing them fast enough.  Good writer, but he obviously dictates his books and doesn't use a human proofreader.  There are some really laughable homonym errors.  If he doesn't actually write but dictates, does that make him a dictator instead of a writer?
  21. "Old retired idiots".  Thanks for the kind words, you YOUNG WHIPPERSNAPPER!
  22. I have one of those Taurus revolvers, bought it new for less than the ad price.  Never knew it was a model 83.
  23. It ain't THAT purty.  :screwy:
  24. I've been to Applebee's a few times on V day, but I won't go back.  The quality of the food doesn't match the wait.  I'd rather have a hot dog combo at Sam's club.
