Well someone did try to put Chlorine in the gene pool.

There are people out there that you really don't want to know (and hope you're not related to). -
You need 'Ninja Power', young grasshoppa!

He sounds like one of them "Tennessee Ninjers". -
Norton strikes again, huh? I've experienced and heard of so many weird problems with Norton that I'd rather install a known virus. Was Norton your anti-virus software? If so, what other options do you have with Apple?

Hmmm. I use a Linux desktop, a Win 7 laptop, a Win 8 laptop and an android tablet, using both Firefox and Chrome browsers, to access this forum and I don't have your "quoting" problem on any of them. Have you tried another browser or another computer/tablet/phone to see if the problem follows you?

AFAIK, AWH is the only domestic manufacturer of tank-type water heaters, so all of the brands come from the same manufacturer.

Remember, a misfire with a rimfire semi-auto is a lot different than with a center-fire. Restriking the round won't help. With a revolver, just pull the trigger again and get a fresh round.

RotoRooter probed the yard with a thin metal rod to find it. The lid is easy to pick out by depth after the tank is located.

Get a set of flexible connector hoses to fit your installation. Cut back your hot and cold water lines to a point you can reach with the flexible hoses. Install the proper fitting on your hot and cold lines, connect your hoses and Bob's yer uncle. The next time you have to replace the tank, it'll be that much easier.

Semi-auto, no. Revolver, yes.

I've had hard-to-find coolant leaks from hose joints and from the water pump. Overheating can destroy the water pump shaft seals. I've ignored a leak to the point that the engine overheated, and then I had to replace the water pump too. Won't do that again . . . .

Au contraire: If a multimeter shows infinite resistance, the element is bad (open circuit). It has burned through and is no longer heating. If both elements are heating, I suspect the dip tube. It's a plastic tube that delivers cold inlet water to the bottom of the heater. If broken, the cold water gets delivered to the top of the heater and straight to your shower. I don't know if you can get a replacement tube unless direct from the manufacturer. On an old heater, I don't know that I'd bother.

I test my edges against my thumbnail. If a gentle tap digs in instead of skidding, it's sharp enough for my purposes. Cutting paper just dulls the edge again.

I'm sure all of us Gunsmoke fans know that Ken Curtis replaced Roy Rogers in the Sons of the Pioneers group. He was a fine singer.

Once again, why risk a septic system that will cost thousands to replace to avoid spending $100 a year (on average) to have it pumped? How do you know that your septic system was "properly designed and installed". How do you know it will last 25 years without being serviced? Seems sorta penny wise and pound foolish to me. Auto companies recommend you change your oil every 5000-7500 miles and you do that without argument. Yet when plumbing professionals recommend you have your tank pumped, you suspect them of money-grubbing. I'll continue to have mine pumped and you can do as you please.

Try looking for a used Ithaca/Winchester/Browning/Remington. Prices of used guns are similar to those of new junk, and they're made much better. Nobody ever wore out a shotgun, so don't worry about that.

Black-eyed peas are getting better to me. With some good seasoning, like in Hoppin' John, they're good. I hated cornbread when I was a kid, but love it now.

I am having mine pumped every 4-5 years.

Choosing the right fruit tree
enfield replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Survival and Preparedness
1. Don't plant fruit trees in your yard - they're a PITA. 2. At least with apple trees, plan on spraying every week or so for insects, starting before they blossom, right up to harvest. (Unless you like little wormy apples). Don't know anything about pears or peaches. Cherry trees are less trouble than apples, if you can beat the birds to the crop. -
Whole lotta mistakes made in that incident. Wow!

The best sporting venue in the country is in my rocker recliner, game on the big screen, volume muted. They keep the 'music' subdued on TV, so we can hear the bored commentators telling war stories about a different sport. It's obvious that they believe people are tuned in to see and hear them, not the game.
