.410 is one of the few gauges that you can reload and save money (eventually, since you have to buy a press, shot, primers, etc). You can buy hulls from Ballistic Products. I have the same shotgun and keep it handy for when coons climb my back fence to raid the bird feeders. I broadsided a biggun a few years ago with #6's. He went back over the fence faster than he came in and hasn't been seen since.

1958 is the birth date, and if it looks like nickel, it is. There were a few stainless ones made in later years, but stainless never made it into production on this model.

I peacefully coexist with all the critters around here - deer, squirrels, birds, woodpeckers, foxes, coons, possums & snakes - until they become destructive or pests. We feed birds year around, including woodpeckers. :D Birds nest in our hanging ferns every year - just raised a brood of wrens.

This is the way my truck is tinted. When I bought it, the fronts were tinted 5% also, but I couldn't read the speedometer with the cabin that dark.
