  1. Another good rifle in .308 is the Ruger M77, especially the GSR.
  2. Ok, who the heck is Dave Brainard?
  3. "Why are you breaking my kayak?" :D
  4. That one is going to my son in Canada! :)
  5. Howdy! You'll fit in.
  6. Opus. It looks like the beak of a certain cartoon penguin. :)
  7. Geo-caching is fun and educational - well worth doing. I wouldn't place a cache on private property, but that's my preference.
  8. Buck Vanguard, around $40 on ebay, Kershaw Antelope Hunter, about $20 on ebay.
  9. The ramp at the state park at Center Hill Lake is a bit steep. I had a '96 F150 with a manual trans and I'd drive the boat onto the trailer and have my wife pull it out. Steep ramp + manual trans + foot operated parking brake + nervous wife is a dangerous combination. I needed a seat belt because she'd release the brake, pop the clutch, and smoke tires pulling me out. :D
  10. Where does one get these sheets of suburban camo? I'd think a disguise as a storage cabinet, shelf unit or freezer would be ideal.
  11. I've owned and occasionally carried a NAA Guardian in .380 for many years. Definitely not a target gun and nasty to shoot -- the front of the trigger guard smacks my fat trigger finger during recoil. Built like a brick, reliable and very concealable. Don't carry it often, but I haven't sold it either. PS- I carried it in my back pocket during a very hot, very humid, very active and outdoors Tennessee summer. It doesn't rust. Ever. Hear that, Sig-Sauer?
  12. I like baklava: http://www.canstockphoto.com/golden-baklava-1026322.html Never thought of putting it in go-kit. Great idea! :)
  13. Interesting -- can you post a picture?
  14. Bacon grease. Smells heavenly when it heats up & muslims won't steal yer gun.
  15. Hey, somebody has to feed those 94 million people who aren't working.  Shut up and pull the wagon!!
  16. Thanks guys! The mower is running again just like it has for the last 6 years. The electrical connector on the RIO button had vibrated loose. Reseated it and all is well! Glad I posted the question instead of pulling the deck!
  17. This just suddenly happened. While mowing with my JD lawn tractor yesterday, I found that pressing the RIO button (allows you to back up with the blades turning), the blades & engine slowed. When I disengaged the blade clutch so I could back up, it wouldn't re-engage unless I parked, got off and pulled on the blade belt and rotated the clutch and blades a partial turn. I had to finish mowing without backing up, which was a bit of a major pain. Does this sound like a clutch problem or a deck problem?
  18. I don't have the time to get to know everyone before I hate them. I just have to do a little profiling . . .
  19. No pic!
  20. That's the one. Joe Brown on the NC side.
  21. The Unicoi Turnpike is still mostly dirt & gravel. Runs between Coker Creek and a point north of Murphy NC.
  22. According to two completely different GPS's (Garmin and Copilot), 129 to 411 south was the fastest route to my home, most likely because it's so much shorter than taking 74/19 down thru Murphy and out the Ocoee River valley.  Of course, it depends on where you live.
