  1. Just finished a Citizen's Academy and witnessed this exercise - the Sheriff won every time but once. He handed the plastic gun to a Doctor and the Doc immediately shot the Sheriff while talking to him. :D
  2. Do we give the same 'benefit of the doubt' to incidents involving cops? Do we wait for more info before passing expert judgement? From what I've seen on this forum the answer, frequently, is no.
  3. Outstanding! Congratulations!
  4. I'd think a TSA dog would be ruined by being around that stupidity and incompetence.
  5. In b4 the lock!
  6. I quit baseball about the time Alomar spit on the umpire and lived.
  7. I was in Tombstone one July. Didn't stay for the re-enactment after I saw the metal bleachers sitting in the sun.
  8. Not just nerds, but old nerds! What's next-the soundtrack on 8-track?
  9. Couldn't care less. :)
  10. Just wait until you guys discover girls - they're way more interesting than fantasy sci-fi. ;)
  11. Justice Roberts, fine Constitution scholar that he is, missed the obvious point that if the ACA penalty is a tax, it's a direct tax since it's levied directly by the federal government onto individual citizens. The Constitution says that direct taxes must be apportioned - every citizen must pay the same amount. Since the ACA "tax" falls only on some citizens, it's obviously unconstitutional. But, "At this point in time, what does it matter?"
  12. I worry about some people . . .
  13. They're cowards in addition to several other things.
  14. Another video comic book? I'll pass.
  15. A mandatory buyback is not a commercial transaction - it's confiscation.
  16. It's my understanding that, in Tennessee,  any edged tool is not a weapon unless it's used as such.  A sword, concealed or not, is just a long edged tool until it's used as a weapon.  I use a machete to clear brush and carry one on my tractor - what's the difference between a machete and a sword?   Kinda like clawhammers, innocent until used as a weapon.   Batons are different in that they're specifically covered by a state law that requires certification to carry.   Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

  18. Who knows but you if your back/knee/etc hurts?
  19. Buying or carrying a sword cane will not turn you into a swordsman. You'll just stick yourself in the eye.
  20. Bird hunters learn this rule in the field. Fire for effect! Keep shooting until the target folds, is out of range, or your gun is empty.
  21. Pet stores sell antlers as chew toys for dogs.
  22. Quite a few people have gone to jail for doing the right thing. It's dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.
