I have a flintlock pistol that I reload the primer for. Have never heard of reloading primers for cased ammo.

Personally, I woudn't build anything on a sinkhole. There's a cavern down there somewhere and its roof isn't stable.

You'll recognize Berdan cases when you come across them. You'll break your decapping pin. Berdan cases have a post where the hole is in Boxer-primed cases and two flash holes on either side of the post.

You'd be well-advised to limit your top speed to 65 when towing a trailer, slower if handling is an issue. Why not a cargo trailer, with sides and a top. Keeps everything dry and secure. A new 5x8 trailer is about $2200 at Lowes.

P.S. - you'll need a reloading manual, probably a Lyman's. It'll tell you if/where you can use the 97 primers which are, as I recall, specific to Remington hulls only.

It's easy enough to tell if it's set up for 16 gauge -- if a 16 gauge shell will fit in the shellholder in the crimping station, but a 12 won't, then it's set up for 16 gauge. You can change the gauge of the press (at least you can on a MEC 600 Jr) but it's expensive and time-consuming. I did it once and then bought separate presses for 20 gauge and .410.
