My Ford Fusion gets 24-27 MPG mixed city/highway and 32-33 highway. 2.3L I4/AT. My F350 Dually gets 10-12 mpg - city, highway, empty, full (2 ton payload), uphill, downhill, headwind, tailwind. 6.8L gas/AT.

It's a waste of time and probably does more harm than good - like most performance evaluations.

Since some states require that you inform the officer during a stop, it's probably good practice to hand over both during any stop. At least you won't have to keep track of another 30+ laws. In Michigan, if I recall correctly, failure to inform results in license suspension and a $500 fine.
