  1. You'll fit in here - we all have the same disease. Welcome!
  2. Tweeting, apparently.
  3. But will it, with high probability, penetrate through clothes and bone to the CNS and drop an attacker right there? Or will it kill him 3 days later in Intensive Care? Which do you prefer? I'm really tired of this whole birdshot/buckshot argument. Use what you please -- you won't be shooting at me.
  4. Welcome! Pull up a stump and tell us a story!
  5. Yer lucky - my laptop overheats here!
  6. No birdshot! You won't be shooting at birds. Hopefully you won't be shooting at all, but if you have to, put 'em down. Buckshot is the ticket, #1 is my choice. Slugs will penetrate 2 houses, less if they're brick.
  7. What was the original rifle & caliber? How was the safety modified? Just curious - I have a Model 94 Swede that was sporterized. I added the scope to mine and had to have the bolt cocking piece removed and a Beuhler safety added. That's a darn fine looking rifle!

    Snowin'??

Yeah, lucky! I lived in Michigan for 33 years, have had enough of the white !

    Snowin'??

Not here - I live in the SOUTH!
  10. Rose Red was the first thing that popped into my head too. I'd hate to heat that barn! Algore or John Edwards could afford to, but not me.

    WADDAYATHANK?

Light bullets in a .243 or a 25-06 would be dandy too. There are a lot of medium-power, flat-shooting centerfire rounds that would be adequate yet not overkill.
  12. It's been tried. It has no effect on people who 'feel' but don't think.
  13. I'm sure someone will chime in saying you should carry snake shot in your .380. You'll end up carrying whatever you can find on a dealer's shelf. I bought several boxes of Remington Express FMJ from Cheaper Than Dirt several years ago, still haven't run out.

    Poetry?

There once was a hermit named Dave . . .
  15. There's Waldo!!!
  16. Be careful. Some people shouldn't have guns. Yes they have a right to them, but they shouldn't have them. Someone who's not interested in guns is probably more likely to be careless with one.
  17. You can have my spot.
  18. I've been slide-bit by only two handguns - a stock 1911 and a PPK.
  19. Trade up from a SIG? That's not English, is it? Makes no sense to me.
  20. Snarky answer: Obama. He did more to win the Heisman than he did to win the Nobel. Real answer: Who cares? It's just another Hollywood production.
  21. CCI 500's
  22. Yesterday I received the small pistol primers that I ordered from Cabela's in July.
  23. Expensive is right. I exhausted all other alternatives first. No cable available, no DSL, dialup sucks. Minus a couple of rebates totaling about $200, I paid about $200 up front for installation and purchased equipment. Paid another $125 to installer to put the dish on a pole instead of on my roof (14!! lag bolts required). I believe the rebates are over - they were 'Black Friday' deals. $59.95/month, 2 year contract. With the Hughes dish added to my radio antennas and Dish Network dish, my side yard now looks like the surface of the Death Star. I need a really big laser cannon to complete the effect.
  24. 1.0/128 claimed, download speed measured yesterday was 484.
  25. After 3 years on dialup and 3 years of being lied to by AT&T about DSL being available soon, we took the plunge and had a Hughes.net dish installed today. Now I can view pictures and videos again, and not have to take my laptop to the library for software upgrades. Home network is back up with 2 Windows laptops, a Linux laptop and a Linux desktop all talking to each other, the Web and the network printer. Life is good!
