  1. I moved all my long guns from Michigan wrapped in bubble wrap, lying behind the front seat. Zero damage.
  2. Gee - my $300 NAA .380 has always worked 100%, and, being DAO, I don't have to carry it cocked and locked. Where did I go wrong?
  3. I think you'd be teaching her a bad habit, that'd get her thumb bit (or worse) someday with a semi-auto.

    2010

I appreciate you stepping up to bat! I hate to have to pick all of the nits around here.
  5. My 10-22 with a figured walnut stock only cost about $55 when my wife bought it for me many years ago.
  6. Can I get a knife like that with my HCP badge (in miniature) mounted in the pommel? ( You started it with the wolves)
  7. And they say that all the dumb people live in East Tennessee.
  8. I used purple on my .40 and the sight is still in place. It's weaker than blue (as I recall).
  9. Badge? I won't even wear an NRA cap. I'm DEEP undercover -- the plain clothes, narc squad type. Ya never saw Serpico wearing a badge, didya?. You didn't see me here.
  10. So that's what they look like -- I've never actually seen one before. I thought they were like chupacabras.

    What are these?

    Are we good or what?
  12. I always keep a box of handgun ammo in the trunk, trip or not.
  13. Enfields aren't ugly! Anything that works that well is beautiful. The Enfield is one of the most highly-regarded bolt-action rifles in history. As a battle rifle it was better than the K98 Mauser, and all Mausers are excellent rifles.
  14. Just a reminder -- I watch these 'what's it worth' threads closely. If selling or trading starts I'll shut it down. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. In my limited experience, used run-of-the-mill modern manufacture single shots seem to go for $100-$150. The older singles from major manufacturers would probably bring more. PS - that Boito shotgun on Gunbroker looks like a much nicer gun than the typical NEF stuff. If function matches looks I'd give more for it.
  15. The defensive knives are nice enough and I own several. Lately I've been selectively buying stag-handled Case pocket knives locally and on Ebay. They are works of art. I recently got a 1979 Case Trapper commemorative knife that has gorgeous scales. I bought it as plain stag, but it looks more like Sambar stag. Too darned pretty to carry!
  16. Sweet! Glad your Dad got home for Christmas. My Dad would have been 104 this year, but he's been gone 28 years. Still miss him . . .
  17. Santy done brung me: A new Porter Cable cordless drill An RC helicopter (cool, but I'm hopelessly uncoordinated) A gift cert for Amazon, which I promptly used on a Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson A couple Led Zep CD's , and a DVD, "Full Metal Jacket" Santy was good to me!
  18. It was a good response. My kids all know I'm a hardass.
  19. I'm thrilled for you! Merry Christmas to all!!
  20. Miller Lite and cheap scotch.
  21. Probably. For my .40 SIG 239, I use a Fobus paddle mag carrier that was made for a 1911.
  22. If you're going to carry a spare mag in a pocket, you might want to consider which pocket you can reach with either hand. For me it's a hip pocket.
  23. You're gonna do what?

    .380 Ammo

I ain't gonna get involved. I don't do ammo threads on .380 or HD shotgun. I don't need the grief - the bricks make my head hurt.
  25. Ooh Ooh! I don't need one, but I WANT one! Santa!!!!!!
