  1. Welcome!
  2. Mine's a 24V - .222 Rem over 20 gauge.
  3. Two H&K speedloaders in the weak side front pocket. I wear baggy pants.
  4. Folding knife sheath? Leatherman case? Camera case?
  5. When picking a pocket to carry a spare in, consider which pockets you can reach with either hand.
  6. That's as ugly as a mud house. I wonder if he got a bank loan to build it?
  7. Suggestion: After delivery, take your receipt and keys back to Lowe's, see a manager, tell them you found the keys in the safe and offer to pay the difference.
  8. I believe it's in our best interests to support Taiwan and hinder Red China. I also believe that most people don't care one way or the other.
  9. You didn't -- I expect a lively discussion on FMJ, JHP, etc. I wasn't responding to your post but to the topic overall. The "best" .380 ammo is a perennial topic on all gun boards, as is the "best" shotgun ammo for HD. It's because there are acceptable and unacceptable personal defense rounds for both. It's a topic I'm a little tired of, personally. Most all other calibers are one or the other - they're either suitable only for squirrels and rabbits or they will blow a hole thru 2 BG's and the wall behind them, regardless of load. .380 ACP is a betwixt-and-between load, hence the arguments between those who favor expansion and those who favor penetration. BTW - I agree with your post 100%.
  10. Not overblown but normal for safety recalls. Neither the companies nor the government can afford to ignore a safety problem of any size, due to tort lawyers, generous juries, newspapers and elections. Even recalls/fixes for conditions that aren't really a problem but are perceived by the customer as undesirable are unpleasant to participate in. I've participated in a few from the engineering end.
  11. The last time I drove through Chicago I intentionally didn't have a handgun with me. I had a disassembled carbine in the trunk, ammo up front.
  12. I'm going to watch this thread closely and, as soon as the argument starts between the HP guys and the FMJ guys, I'm going to close it. I'll wait until we get the links to "expert" recommendations, and until we discuss the real world applicability of FBI gelatin testing, the Florida and North Hollywood shootouts, etc. I'll delete all the off-topic posts and, after I close the thread, I'll post it as a sticky so we don't have to do this again on this forum. Let the games begin . . .
  13. I haven't heard much of anything good about the digital locks. Don't have any personal experience with them.
  14. 1/16" is also a huge gap.
  15. Where in west Tennessee? Memphis? Jackson?
  16. Two similar threads merged
  17. Nope, don't wear gunny clothes, don't have gunny stickers on my truck, and don't want a gunny license plate. I'm undercover.
  18. They're definitely not a gimmick in a .38, but I haven't tried shotshells in a semi-auto.
  19. Nobody I've recognized so far -- guess I need to get out more.
  20. Looks fake to me, and I've seen it before on the net. Others thought it was fake also. Snopes has an agenda but I don't think it extends to dogs. Maybe someone who cares will check.
  21. The safes may well be an "in-and-out" item. I haven't seen them at our local Lowe's before this winter and they don't have a dedicated display area for them.
  22. My NAA Guardian has never failed and I've had it for 6+ years. Maybe they're "not makin' 'em like they used to"? Stick 'em up the bad guy's nose and blow it for him.
  23. YDS? TRN!
  24. Slow day in Dickson, hey?
  25. It's not a competition. When it's done perfectly, everybody wins.
