    Hi.

    Welcome!
  3. Welcome!
  4. Welcome! I believe the high-mount base I got for my '94 Swedish Mauser is a Williams, but it does require gunsmithing as there are no screw holes provided in the '94 Swede (or '38 Swede) receiver. My stock had to be relieved to clear the mount also. I don't know if a K98 is different. Please lose the colored text - not enough contrast to allow easy reading. PS - see http://www.gunaccessories.com/MilitaryScopeMounts/Mauser/index.asp
  5. Anything to get a team into the Olympics.
  6. Did ya see the film of that luger hitting the post? Good Lord! I can't see how they can even have a luge competition -- that track is lined with bare metal posts! What were they thinking of?
  7. Anyone else care to run their yaps? Come on, get it out of your system. The guillotine awaits.
  8. And that's 3 - I knew I could rely on you, Alpha7!!
  9. That's two gone - anybody else?
  10. I don't have the authority to close this thread, but I would if I could. I'd like to remind all of Rule #1 in the Code of Conduct: You are a guest here. Conduct yourself accordingly. All members are reminded that they are guests of TGO and should conduct themselves accordingly. You do not have a God-Given right to be here; this is very much our "house" and our guests are expected to follow this code of conduct. This is not a democracy. The word of the TGO Staff is final on any subject. If you have a question about or disagree with the way something was handled by a moderator or Staff member, take it up with them in private. Do not debate them in public! If you do not like the answer that you receive, feel free to contact the TGO Administrator. If you argue with a Staff member publicly or otherwise engage in insubordinate behavior, you will be removed from the site without question. Several of you are teetering on the edge. I suggest you all give it a rest before you fall off. Further argument WILL result in infractions.
  11. You might want to send strickj a PM to discuss this privately. I doubt he'll discuss it in public.
  12. Now that there seem to be signs that the supply of ammo and components is increasing, I've noticed a few private sellers trying to sell large amounts of ammo. Would you buy from an apparent hoarder or would you tell him to pound sand?
  13. This IS the off-topic forum, yaknow.
  14. I would seriously consider my scoped Savage .222 over 20 gauge. But I wouldn't automatically choose it -- it would depend on the situation. A 12 gauge pump or bolt-action rifle in .308 might be a better choice.

0000 steel wool, lots of oil and a gentle touch will remove the rust bumps. Of course, it'll leave bare metal or pits behind but they look better.
  16. That's a decent price. Post most of the serial number and I can give you an idea of when it was made. How about a picture?

    Slugs in shotguns

That's the theory at least, but we're drifting off-topic here.
  18. That was a red enough situation for me. Ya done good!
  19. Similar threads merged.
  20. Pills didn't kill Michael Jackson The doctor didn't kill Michael Jackson Michael Jackson killed Michael Jackson.
  21. 'Bye!
  22. I wouldn't hike anywhere I couldn't carry a significant handgun to. If there's booze at the camp I can say no.
  23. Let's make a sticky out of this one. This is one of the perennial questions.
