  1. If it weren't for that d@mn Bill of Rights the Libs could set this country straight.
  2. Cross-dresser, huh?
  3. Understandable -- I don't post mine everywhere. Too much info available on the web.
  4. That thumb WILL get severely bitten if she touches one off. I've done it, bled like a stuck pig. It's called learning.
  5. Those Intel dual-core HT processors run HOT! My newer (2006) laptop is a lap warmer, and it's had a fix downloaded from Intel to speed up the fans. I don't think I want another one in a laptop. My current Sony desktop has the same processor and frequently the fans run up until it sounds like an F16.
  6. So, David, did you get your callsign yet?
  7. The UFO version of mass hysteria has been replaced with global warming mass hysteria. We don't have enough attention span left to include UFO's.
  8. OK, I remember that - the sterile ones are OK.
  9. I would bet that grass carp and other invasive species are illegal to import or own in Tennessee as it's impossible to keep them out of the streams and rivers due to flash flooding.
  10. Rule #1 -- You can't time the market.

    walther pk vs. ppk

You're probably thinking of the PP vs the PPK. A PP has a longer barrel and longer grip than a PPK. It's sort of like comparing a full-sized 1911 to a compact carry 1911.
  12. Well, there's the difference -- I'm amphibious.
  13. National Moo-Fest in Athens, Strawberry Festival in Dayton, Apple Festival in Cleveland, Mountaineer Folk Festival at Fall Creek Falls State Park.
  14. I went to the link - it's a lot more family-friendly than I would have suspected. I'm greatly relieved . . .
  15. OK, I don't get out much. What the heck is a Cornhole Tournament?
  16. My wife found that her Bersa .380 was just too large for her to conceal. She picked out an NAA .380 Guardian and an NAA mini-revolver in .22 Magnum. She can carry either one in her waistband, and the .380 in the R. L. Graham Pop-top holster just disappears below her waistband.
  17. Ditto - don't fool around with the staggered loadings. Pick a hollowpoint with a good reputation: Gold Dots, Golden Sabers, etc; ensure they function well in your pistol and you're good to go. In order of importance, choose the ammo with the best (for you): 1. Reliability - 100% required 2. Accuracy - ability to hit COM at 7 yards is adequate for self defense 3. Penetration - minimum of 12 inches in clad ballistic gelatin 4. Expansion - any amount is good. The premium hollowpoints will provide all 4 to an adequate degree. The frangible ammo will not give reliable penetration.
  18. Being right-handed, I've always placed my presses on the right end of the bench. I operate the press with my right hand and feed it with my left. With the press on the right, I have lots of room for loading trays, scales, etc on the left.
  19. I would follow the manufacturer's recommendation. What works for one 1911 may not work for another - they're not all created equal. Replacing the recoil spring was not scheduled maintenance on the military model.
  20. Looks like it'd be handy for a bottle of Budweiser, too.
  21. Holy Bandwidth, Batman -- those are big pictures!
  22. I once stopped a kid on a crotch rocket who was repeatedly roaring by my house (suburbs, 25 mph speed limit, kids playing) by meeting him in the street with a shovel. He got the point.

    .22 Plinker?

Ruger Single-Six revolvers and Browning Buckmark semi-autos will be affordable, durable, cheap to feed and lots of fun.
  24. Poor quality control -- this is why you conduct in-process testing and /or lot acceptance testing. Must have been the low-bid supplier.
