  1. I keep mine stoked with CCI's with the Speer Gold Dot bullet. Never failed to fire.

    Sporters

My "sporterized" M94 Swedish Mauser couldn't be legally imported without having the barrel lengthened. That operation made the original full-length stock worthless. It was worth doing to get the rifle. It doesn't look much like an M94 Mauser, but it shoots just fine.
  3. I'm interested but I need to know a month in advance to schedule the day off. I work most weekends, but they can do without me.
  4. Welcome, newboy! Watch out for the administrator, he's a b@stard!
  5. Athens, August 23, 24, 26 and 27, 6-9 pm. Contact John Mankin, jmankin@comcast.net.
  6. Or post the first 3 or 4 digits of the S/N. Several of us can date it for you.
  7. Pain-wise they were about the same. Dropping a chunk of 4x4 on your toe is a lot cheaper though.
  8. If it's like my Smith J-frame, the aluminum has a clear-coat finish on it and the finish is not repairable. My Smith looks worse than yours. Clean it and enjoy it.
  9. I had ingrown nails on both big toes. One - the one I couldn't reach to trim - I had the doc take care of. He dug out both sides and killed the root. I still have a funky looking narrow nail on that foot. The other one I took care of with a too-tall fence post and a chain saw. When it grew back in it was perfect.
  10. Personally, I wouldn't shoot someone else's reloads, and I wouldn't sell mine. Nothing to gain, everything to lose.
  11. Never mind -- I really need to look at the date of original posts before responding.
  12. I've probably told this before, but once when I couldn't decide between 2 used shotguns at Gander Mountain, my wife told me to buy both of them. I did. She's a keeper!
  13. Jim Reeves
  14. Ruger and Browning make popular .22 semi-autos also. "Best" is a matter of opinion.
  15. We need some TGO bumper stickers - "Jack ***** for Governor"
  16. possibly copywrited material removed.
  17. The wife and I voted early. No lines - it's the only way to fly!
  18. I hope she didn't consent to the search.
  19. Gas dryers use an electric igniter also, and it's the first part that fails. I've replaced several. No igniter, no gas, no flame.
  20. "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss
  21. AND: You don't have to de-register anything in Michigan. It's not required and there's no mechanism to do it.
  22. Snapping turtles and/or catfish used to snack on Canada goose goslings in the pond at my work in Michigan.
  23. It's pretty neat. I sat around a campfire in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and watched them once.
  24. Ohh God -- we're all gonna die! Save us, Obama!
