  1. A Tennessee Trooper can stop you for the sole reason to check that you have a drivers license. I believe some people open carry just for the attention. I especially get a kick out of the ones that have a carry permit badge hanging on their belt. I'm reminded of the military telling me not to "flash my cash" because someone watching may want it more than me.
  2. If you are going to be stupid, you gotta be tough.
  3. I have had a defective liner close on my hand. Trusting it was sturdy, it bit me. No more chance of that.
  4. Nowhere on tv or in the papers did all of the details come out. BIR I think had the court transcripts on their website. That shed a bit more into the horror these poor kids went thru. I do know a lot of details about this crime. I do not recommend anyone learning more than what the news etc let out. Do not look at any crime scene photos. The details will change your life one way or the other, it has mine. *God Bless the families.
  5. I noticed last time I was at Sevierville range. There was a bullet hole in one of the lane divider wall thingys. I didn't check the other side to see if the dividers are bullet proof. If you like going to the range don't EVER watch a class or even just some regular customers. You wont go back. Holy crap why more don't get killed.
  6. Is "Point muzzle in safe direction" rule number one, or two?

  9. Craptical ?
  10. Just goofing around I googled "Tactical Shoe Laces" and what do you know. There are also Tactical socks and boxer shorts. WTH? Posted tactically from Tap Talk.
  11. Open carry is only complete with a HCP badge from the local pawnshop. Like whats been said before. Too many negatives to even consider it.
  12. I thought I was watching Idol for a minute.
  13. I was about to say go with the ruger LCR because of the cylinder release is in the normal place. But, since your a lefty it may just be the ticket. I think smith moved the latch because of me. With air weights and + P's the standard latch will hit my thumb. The Light Ruger does not. I say go for it.
  14. Heres my two types, Those who change their cell phone numbers all the time, and those who don't.
  15. Speer makes plastic bullets and cases for target practice. All you need are some large pistol primers to fire them, NO powder. They are fun.
  16. God Bless you all, prayers sent!
  17. It looks like a Remington 1100 in the banner add. The barrell is all jacked up or the mag tube is., looks split Id think they would fix that beater with some of their own parts! Just sayin,,,,,,,
  18. Get a new mag.
  19. ..
  20. A friend has the Remington and it shoots great. But before you even try that, go test drive a M&P 15-22 if you haven't. I can't say enough about this plinker.
  21. Ive had great results with both aluminum and steal cold blue. Ive used both on other things besides guns too. The aluminum will smoke sometimes, kinda crazy. I'm sure its not real healthy to breath. The key for my great results has been prep. After a good media blast I wash it with alcohol. Don't touch the metal after blasting either. Do many thin coats. I do about 15 coats on any given part. It will get darker as you go.
  22. I'll take one holster and one solo seat, thank you.
  23. Is this something new? I bought Burris mil dot last year and they still list it.
  24. Once I switched over to a diamond sharpener things got a lot faster and easier to sharpen. Related note. I bought a diamond rod sharpener for my butcher knives. Why didn't I do this sooner. Three swipes and I'm sharp.
