  1. Hands down the Smith. Ive logged around 9k rounds on mine. Gave up on all other auto .22s I owned, except my Romanian AK22 trainer
  2. If you choose to euthanize. Lap of love will come to your home.I was very happy with the young lady that came out to my home about a month ago.
  3. I have this hippie friend that talked me into a no kill trap. After two traps, three weeks, 1/2 package of cheese I caught one. Pissed all in the trap and made a dam mess. I take him out to the back of the yard and dump him out. Well the little chit takes off toward the house and my guess is he beats me back to the open door. Wife's laughing, friend that talked me into no kill laughing, dogs laughing, neighbors laughing and not knowing why. So after a month of trying this BS I get humiliated by a dam rat. I can't get the mail without someone mentioning the turmoil this one rodent put me through. Victor wood traps and cheese, problem solved. Thats what I get for listening to my tree hugging friend.
  4. Scroll down to the Vendor Forums. They just signed on. **For some reason when Im on my mobile im not seeing all posts in a thread. I just now saw where SIR was mentioned.
  5. You may or may not know theres a nice one here in sevierville.
  6. I just sold a 32, type III (1921) for $700. Personal sale. The gun was 98% condition. Very slight blue wear but as close to perfect as you will find. Pitted versions are usually in the $400 range is what I've found over the last few years. These are great guns to have engraved if they are rough to start. Do not carry them loaded with one in the barrel. You can drop fire them. Do a google search and you'll see where a expierenced gun guy kills himself by freak accident.
  7. I had a AIM halo sight. It broke with little use.
  8. Language WARNING !!!!! Hard to argue with that.
  9. I dont blame the dog really. I wouldnt want to be jumping in cold arse water either.
  10. The only smart thing to do, is ban toys altogether.
  11. About six months ago I picked up a Thompson Hotshot 22. After a box of ammo through it, it starts to fail. Every other round has no strike mark. To their credit Smith&Wesson replaced the rifle with a new one. It took 3 months, but that part I'll live with. The new one shoots flawless, so far. Two months ago I bought the all new 992 Taurus convertible, 22/22mag revolver. Today I took it to the range and I can't pull the trigger with two fingers. Can't even cock the hammer back. Swing open the cylinder, shut it, it fires a couple of rounds and quits again. This is the first Taurus I've owned, maybe my last. We'll see how customer service goes. Sorry, I'm just in a pissy mood over this. Who's making this stuff and wheres quality control at?
  12. .38 spl in a ankle holster.
  13. I do hope this will bring down the local stores suppliers price, trickling down to me. Hopefully a win for those of us that can't stomach Walmart. Competition is good.
  14. I like this stuff for the house. They also make a 2inch shell with just 6 buck shot. Great for those who Hate lotsa recoil.
  15. Looks like a form of Hickory.
  16. Trigger pull on LCR. I can pull it with my pinky. Not sure where people say its heavy, hard whatever. It is the best on any DA revolver I've ever pulled. The wifey turned in her smith DAO and went with the Ruger because of the light pull. Recoil or lack of was second in trading up.
  17. Pigeon Forge Breakfast, at the end of PF on the left, before the Spur. Log Cabin Pancakes. Get French toast royal, unless you have sugar problems. Clean place great simple breakfast food. We locals go here. Lunch, soup and sandwich at McCallisters. Clean place good food. If you like wings, burgers sports bar place. ( TV's with games on ) Blue Moose, clean great food. Fat chicken tenders. .... Sevierville Smokin Eds BBQ. Across hwy from food city near down town. The best around here I think. Cracker Barrel is the only place for breakfast in Sevierville.
  18. God Bless the Snelling family.
  19. I picked up the new Taurus 992 convertible in 4inch. It comes with a magnum cylinder also. The cylinders swap out easy and fast.I bought it to mimic the revolvers we carry. Cheap to shoot in Rimfire but has that extra bang in magnum. Hands down the smiths, rugers work better etc. But watching the wife actually enjoy firing a gun is priceless. *not expecting much from the Taurus I was suprised how well it worked. DA pull is fine and the SA breaks crisp. I expected to work on the trigger but it's pretty good from the box.
  20. My Sam Adams. So I can watch it burn and have a beer while it does.
  21. The guy talking was simulating not having that option, like he was in a hallway. I thought the same at first............. I couldn't imagine trying to one hand the bad guy, just shoot him. Or club him as you round the corner with something that gives you distance. I'd shoot my own hand/arm trying to wrestle some guy. The gun tucked in the ribs is good. Especially with a empty hand equal on the other side for deflection. But indoors you still need a light. So why not chop down when you run face to face instead of grabbing.
  22. J Worked ok in the dim rain clouds today. Also last night checking out the moon These should suit my needs perfect. For the quick grab not having to fool with focus or relief. Should be real good for sports.
  23. The only thing I would change is having a D cell flashlight or ASP in my free hand.
