I picked up a free TV, apparently it took a power surge from a storm. Slow steady red blinking power light. I can half way pull out the ribbon cable connector from the pwr board plug, or from the main board plug and get the tv to work perfect. ( Cable that connects main and power boards) It will turn on/off with remote or manual. Main menu, sound everything will work. Screen looks perfect. So it's not a loose connection because I can duplicate it working on either end of the cable at the main board or pwr board. After I push the cable end all the way back into the pwr board or main board the TV continues to work perfect until it is turned off. Once turned off, the TV will not turn back on, slow steady red blinking led continues like before. Then I can half way pull out the connector and get it to work again. I have on hand a good pwr board both old and new do the same. The old capacitors don't show any bulging and the new board should be good although anything can happen. I'm leaning toward the main board. Not sure why a half plugged in cable would make it work fine ?

Cool vids. I'm into the whole Garand WWII thing. Interesting to see the 03 and the M1 in the bayonet vid. My latest prize is a nickel 1905 16inch marked Oneida LTD. 1942, with a early 17 scabbard. Some kind of parade piece of unknown. Thx

All you need is to be faster than the person you are with. Seems like I've hiked at least one trail every week for the last 40 years. Had one bear actually charge me where I thought I was done. Luckily I was in a truck heading back from some trail resto I volunteer at. Basics, don't carry food. Don't get between bears. Get big if they approach, yell or throw some rocks/sticks. I have had lots grunt and stomps but I've gotten used to it and just move on. I do carry a pistol and spray, but have never pointed either. Holler if you need more local info.

Make sure to input "home" on your GPS. If recovered, the look on a suspects face is priceless.

Anybody drive (or ride) the Dragon for fun?
Tncobra replied to GoneBallistic's topic in General Chat
I'm more likely to hit the dragon from parsons branch. Either by motorcycle or 4x4. Just about every Saturday. -
They peck to tell other peckers this is their turf. I had one rattlin my gutter up bad. I opened the window and cussed it a few different times, suprising enough it went away. Bonus, neighbors think im nuts yelling/cussing out the window @0500AM

Went today around 11am. Pulling off onto the grounds I thought, no gun show today? There was about a third of the cars than the last Jacob Building show I went to. I attempted a front spot and got one. Walking up there were very few of the regular sharks outside to take advantage of regular gun folks. There was no one in either line, gun check or just entry no weapon. Inside the place was pretty much empty of people. All the usual vendors were there. I was looking for a 1911 barrel and bushing and misc Garand stuff. Found a nice bayonet for a good price. Not many parts vendors anymore. I wish back those days. Ammo price observation. One table had standard federal .22 in hundred rd baggies like a crack dealer. $19.00. I leaned over saw it, and laughed in his face. It was all I could do not to say something. Winchester white box xpert 500 rds, $82 same guy. Average pistol ammo, 9mm $23/25. .40cal $25/28 .45acp $30/35/40/45 bucks. I only glanced at some AR ammo and saw 300 rds for $200. It was ball ammo. I stayed a few hours and didn't see anyone buy any ammo, made me chuckle.

Most ideas have been thought of at one time or another. I think people sit around trying to think crap up but only dumbarse ideas remain. So, they go with that.

Okla had to have bad games to lose this. They are that much better than the lady vols. That being said, our women stepped up and still put it on them.

It's a torso vs leg length setup. On my Giant Revel, I have a med frame. Which means in uncertain terms my torso is proportionate to my inseam or lower half for my height. Long torso people generally will be more comfortable with a larger frame bike. This increases the distance from the seat to the bars. So on my bike you will usually see more of the seat post because of the smaller frame, or shorter distance to the bars. This is basic fitment. Once you find a frame that you are happy with everything else can be moved around up or down for the more advanced rider, or for someone wanting the perfect fit and combination of specific parts.

I never gave this any thought before. Kinda funny though. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/burial-ground-tamerlan-tsarnaev-easy-find-article-1.1334695 He's a body without a burial plot. Four cemeteries in three states have refused to accept the battered corpse of Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, said the Massachusetts funeral director tasked with finding his final resting place. Peter Stefan, funeral director and owner of Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors in Worcester, Mass., tried to find a plot for Tsarnaev in New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts — but nobody wants to bury the Russian-born terrorist on their land, he said. If nothing comes up, “we have to go to the federal government and then we have to ask them for assistance†to find a place, said Stefan.
