DON'T do either, call the ATF and get the Agent's name and ask them the question. These rules change quite often so it's your best bet to CYA. I did have a FFL for 20+ years but turned it in a while back. Good Luck

Do up a Bill of sale with both your names, addys, make and S/N also make a copy of his drivers license or any picture ID and you should be good to go. Both of you also sign the Bill of sale.

The M16 got a bad rapp starting with the Media and Troops that did not clean them, the problem was some fool had the idea to change from ball powder to dirty buring stick powder. I was issued an old three prong flash suppressor M16 in Nov 67 when I got to Nam and the only problem was the three prong suppressor caught on every vine you walked past. Just before the 68 TET offensive we were issued the new M16 with the closed cage suppressor that made life a bit easier. For fourty plus years I have been hearing how bad the M16 was, mostly from people who never really had to use them!

Under 1000 Ruger, a bit more (1200-1300) go for a TRP and you'll never regret it.

Anyone know how TN handles a new resident who already has a CCW from another state who they have a reciprocal agreement with? What are the testing times and requirements?

I spend time in both states (FL&TN) and don't see much difference in prices but I do see a big difference in the sales tax. Doesn't seem like a lot until you spend 1K or so. The panic started before the election and most took advantage of it and most still are!
