  1. Yeah that was my last Remington Model 700.
  2. Yes,that's where I got them.
  3. What kind of powder and how many grains would you put behind this without a gas check? Sorry ,wrong thread.I was referring to the 165 grain 30 cal. bullets for 30 30 that they have now.
  4. Not unless they changed it in the last few years.
  5. I get much better accuracy out of my bolt action .223's than I do with my AR's.I bought a new Remington SPS .223 a few years back, best I could get it to do was a little over 2" at 100 yards.I called Remington and they said that a 2" group was within their standards.I even sent it back to them for them to check out.I never could get it to shoot under 2", tried a lot of different loads.I went to Savage rifles after that.
  6. Is the 844 and 846 a military powder?
  7. I really like IMR 4895 and 4320 it seems to work with all the calibers I have .
  8. Sounds like 2" groups are common then. Thanks everybody.
  9. I may try some Varget in it.I was just trying some Hornady SP 55 gr bullets with 2230, my bolt guns will shoot 3/8" to 1/2" groups with Nosler 50 and 55 grain ballistic tips at 100 yards
  10. What I have is BLC2,2230,2420,IMR 4895,4320,Varget,Win.748.IMR3031
  11. I'd like to know what kind of powder y'all are using in your AR's and getting good accuracy.Using a 55 grain bullet. Also what do you consider good accuracy from your AR at 100 yards with a scope?Im just using a 3x Nikon on my 16" Bushmaster 1/9.I wanted something compact. Thanks Jeff
  12. What kind of powder are you using and what kind of rifle are you shooting ?I tried some in my Bushmaster AR this morning,16" barrel 3x Nikon scope and got a 2" group 3" high.I was using 25 grains of 2230,that's the powder I use in my bolt guns.I may try some IMR 4895 or 4320 in the AR.I hadn't tried them in the bolt guns yet.

    Ruger 77/357

I would love to have one of the Ruger All Wearher M77's in 357, but the price turns me off.I have a Rossi M92 16" rifle and Ranch Hand in 357/38,they are really fun to shoot!
  14. I usually shoot Nosler and Sierra .I get great accuracy out of the 50 and 55 grain ballistic tips in my Savage mdl.10 PC and my Stevens mdl.200 .223.Also use 65 grain game king and 69 gr.MK Sierra. I just bought these Hornady to try cause they where around .13 each.
  15. Anybody loaded any of these 55 grain for 223?Just wondering how accurate they are.I bought 250 to try.
  16. How accurate are the SR22's,it's really hard to beat the Ruger MK I & II.The MK III should be as accurate as the I &II,just don't care for the loaded shell indicator and it won't fire if the mag is removed. Sorry about the double post.

  18. Stevens model 200 is good too.
  19. Ok I'm good then.
  20. What is 22 rich so I can see where I stand.lol
  21. I wouldn't buy ANYTHING but a Savage!
  22. I tried that with a few 120 and 134 grain lead cast bullets I traded for a while back.I used some Uniqiue with about 8 grains(have to look at my records to be sure).I got about 5" groups at 25 yards, not too good.Thought it my be the Micro groove barrel that didn't like the cast bullets.I have some Bulls eye,PowerPistol, and IMR 7625 I could try.any ideas?
  23. Get you a Millet red dot SP-1, they are about $50 or $60 and have a tiny dot 3MOA.
  24. I didn't buy it from you, that was what you were asking austin7.62.
