  1. I told my daughter that the butterfly on the upper part of one butt cheek would look like a vulture when she got my age.
  2. Somebody spits on the sidewalk around here and Charter goes down.
  3. The need creates the basic locations. I was part of starting a BCT Brigade at Ft Bliss, TX in fall of 1965. We were all sent there from the First Armor Division at Ft. Hood. A bunch of tankers walking around going "Are they crazy?" (We didn't know about WTF) Little did we knowthat the 1st Air Cav would be in Vietnam in a few months and it was on big time. The draft would eventually reach 44,000 a month-200 new companies a month!
  4. South of Murfreesboro towards Manchester (Coffee, Warren, Cannon, Bedford  counties) is still reasonable on housing and 45 minutes max from Murfreesboro.  Several state parks nearby, particularly South Cumberland State Park on the Cumberland Plateau are a short drive.  Offer hiking, backpack camping, etc.   Fall Creek Fall SP is a reasonable distance away and offers an inn, restaurant and golf course as well as all the normal park activities.      A couple of shooting ranges in the area but nothing spectacular.  Don't know about tactical.
  5. It's like a used car. It's not the age that counts , it's the mileage and the tread left on the tires
  6. Why not, "If there are guns in the home are they secured where you can not get to them? Does the person need to know if there is a firearm in the home or if it is safely stored ? I hope it is the latter because the former has nothing to do with medical care. Plus, I doubt many small children know what a "firearm" is but they know a "gun" just like they may want to know "securely stored" but the phrase is foreign to a child. Why not use plain language and ask if they can or can't get the gun.
  7. First, I whole hardly support Law Enforcement.       However,  my concern is more with the mindset with the influx of "military gear".    Many large cities already have a force that feels its "us vs them".    This needs to be tempered not re-enforced.             Already many wear BDU type pants and shirts instead of a traditional uniform, ball caps instead of the more traditional, vests on the outside with "POLICE"  for normal duty , etc.   Yes there are bad people but their interaction with everyone should not be the same.
  8. Neighbor put a few solar powered lights that look like a predator's eyes in the dark around his garden but I haven't heard if it worked. But Ihaven't heard him complaining either.
  9. Dump Lamar! Vote for Joe Carr
  10. Don't see how this helps the cause of protecting 2nd Amendment rights.    Push the envelop and expect push back.
  11. Glad you didn't kill it. If snakes and birds of prey like hawks and owls weren't around we would be overrun with small rodents--mice, rats, voles, etc.. There are over 100 species in the US. We don't see them because they are out mostly at night or stay safely under leaf litter and in "tunnels" in the grass.
  12. I'd be interested but only if nobody laughs at a trike.  Went this route since the last time I rode two wheels and a motor was 1957 or so.  Decided watching for other folks trumped balancing a macho bike.
  13. I find it very disconcerting that on the forum by TFA there is only one entry on this subject under "State Legislative" and that was on April 8 after the Senate passed the bill.  Even John Harris has made no comment on the TFA forum.   Me, I called it DOA when it got to the House.  The Republican leadership in this state wants to keep the anti-gun, liberal-leaning voters happy so they can get some votes.  It was all a show so they could say to the rest of us, "We tried"
  14. A fan. Why did Shane even open the thread?
  15. I'd like to se him in bracelets. Prison Bracelets!
  16. It may be out of Spring Hill city limits and belong to the county.   County response time may not be fast at that time of night due to number of cars on patrol.  THP could have been tied up somewhere else.   I agree it is sick that so many people were looking to video something instead of taking care of a person.
  17. The only thing good I know of that came from him was the founding of Patriot Guard Riders.  Proud member who joined to block his efforts to disrupt military funerals and now will help honor any veteran whether WBC oalans to attend or not..
  18. Don't think under the steering wheel will be safe if you have "knee airbags" Mounting without damaging the airbag could be tricky and gun will go who knows where if it ever is activated.
  19. Thank God for people who want to keep the oath they took. Do you think the LEO also know it will get ugly and split their support in a community in two?
  20. News from Detroit you'll never see in the main stream media: Another would-be burglar was fatally shot Thursday by a homeowner — at least the fifth such incident in recent weeks. Thursday’s shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. when two men allegedly broke into a home on the 8200 block of Penrod on the city’s west side, Detroit Police Third Deputy Chief Rodney Johnson said. “The homeowner was able to retrieve his weapon, and fired hitting one of the burglars,” Johnson said. “He ran away and collapsed in the driveway. The other burglar was able to escape.” The homeowner heard glass shatter near the rear of his home and found one intruder, believed to be 17 years old, attempting to enter through a window, Johnson said. The resident fired two shots hitting the victim in his chest. The juvenile intruder died. His suspected accomplice, a man in his 20s, fled the scene and is still at-large. This shooting is the fifth incident in the past two weeks, where a resident shot an alleged intruder, said Johnson. "It's a message to the criminals: stop coming into people’s homes unannounced and uninvited," Johnson said. Other recent incidents include: ■A woman in her 50s on Friday shot and killed a man trying to break into her home in the 22000 block of Grove Street. She heard noises at her rear window and shot the intruder in the chest. ■On Feb. 22, two home invaders were killed: At 2 a.m., two men broke into a house on the city's southwest side; the homeowner shot both men. A 21-year-old man died and the other man escaped. Earlier at 12:30 a.m., a woman who was surprised by a gunman when she pulled her car into the garage was able to reach for her own gun and fatally shoot the man. ■In an incident that made national headlines, a woman on Feb. 17 opened fire on three teens who kicked in her door. The alleged intruders, ages 14, 14 and 15, were caught by police, and face home invasion charges. Police Chief James Craig caused a national stir in January when he told The Detroit News he felt the city’s crime rate would go down if more people were armed because it would make criminals think twice about breaking into their homes or attacking them. 21. Upon hearing about DST an Indian said, "Only the white man would think he could cut a foot from one end of a blanket, sew it on the other end and think he had a longer blanket
  22. Maybe he is holding out on the location of her body as a trade to get the death penalty off the table.
  23. Only a biker knows why a dog sticks it head out the window.
  24. Ma Deuce
  25. An old Indian Chief once said, "Only the white man would cut a foot off of a blanket, sew it on the other end and think he had a bigger blanket"
