  1. From a guy who can recognize a computer 2 out of 3 times (an electric typewriter next to a TV fools me every time!) it seems to be working fine. Loads fast, opens threads quickly, and "back" works fast. I'm on Charter (ugh!) if that means anything to you. Thanks to you and the mods for doing a great job maintaining this site.
  2. dats82, Obama is not the only problem. Sure he nearly doubled the debt in two years but the mindset of the vast majority of the elected folks has been the problem for many years. Spend, spend, spend on whatever you wanted and just come up with more ways to increase revenue so nobody notices or borrow the money. How many times did we hear "we didn't raise taxes" when what they did was increase revenue by eliminating/lowering a deduction or increasing the minimum to qualify for a deduction, etc? Well, the time has come to settle up. Mine will be the first generation that does not pass on a better life to our kids. That hurts!
  3. +1 NRA.
  4. I use a Lortone Tumbler with SS pieces (various sizes and shapes) to clean Sterling Silver after making jewelry. Removes the scale from soldering, minor scratches, and polishes--$35 per ounce Sterling so I would think you could trust it on brass empties. They make a solution but you can use water and a dishwashng soap like Dawn to 1" above the material. Do not tumble dry--will ruin the materials. As someone said, SS stays clean--just replace the soluntion.
  5. Or the Pearce +1 Extension. That's what I use because of big hands. Some folks say the mag spring is an issue with the +1 but I've never had a problem. If you agree, go with the +0
  6. Saw on Channel 5, Nashville that last Saturday the Nashville police arrested a man impersonating a K9 Officer at a Wally World. Young man was dressed in a black t-shirt with K9 and a badge printed on the front, Metro K9 on the back, black bdu's, holstered gun, taser, handcuffs, AND according to the reporter, "a gold HCP". Had to be a HCP Badge! Just what we need!
  7. They took the option away from the Southern Middle part of the state, not that it mattered to me. No delivery in Coffee Co since 2010. Can get it at the store if I wanted it, but also have access to Chattanooga and Huntaville papers.
  8. Love to but have family commitment both days. I'll look for future trips. What range do use?
  9. +1 to OhShoot. Always get a cashiers check--even your new bank will appreciate it. A great benefit of life in smaller towns is the number of locally owned banks. Hometown folks who believe in friendly SERVICE, not fees. Haven't banked with a national or regional bank in years.
  10. Thanks for continuing to make this a great forum. I have learned a lot from the other members. I'm sorry you spent your 4th working on it only to have it be for nothing. If you gotta move it, move it. There will probably be some grumbling as we all go through the learning curve but just remember "nobody likes change but a wet baby" Thanks again for all you and the moderators do to make this a great forum.
  11. +1 Bronker I'll add that we've created a generation that stands in front of the microwave and says, "Hurry up" Want it (whatever that is at the moment) now and don't want to wait or work for it. Not willing to sacrifice for anything. “The things that will destroy America are peace at any price, prosperity at any cost, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.†Theodore Roosevelt
  12. double post, sorry

  14. I'm sure you know this already: load enough weight on the front (tongue wieght) to prevent the trailor from swaying. About 10% on the front and 50% over the axle should do it but you may have to experiment. If you're just carrying a couple of hundred pounds I'd load it to the front. Attaching an orange bicycle flag on each back cornerrailer helped me see where the trailer when backing up.
  15. strickj: Now that's funny, I don't care who you are!
  16. If she's 16 I'm 30. If that's country music I'm changing the station.
  17. If we can't be civil while expressing our opinions then we should follow Will Rogers advice, "Never miss a good opportunity to shut up" I enjoy reading every one's comments but sometimes wince at some of them. As some have said, can't weagree to disagree without going off on a wild spree.
  18. Am I wrong? I thought in TN the Castle Doctrine took care of "in". If he isn't authorized and I fear for my safety I can shoot. Right?
  19. Check on what weapon you can use. My instructor would not allow a 22 and I remember at least one other post.
  20. Bnoland: Stay safe. And that goes for any other LEOs out there, no matter where you work. Stuff Happens
  21. Give him what he wants--ban him for life
  22. Two from John Wayne: "Life's tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid" "Courage is being scared...and saddling up anyway"
