  1. About 4 months ago I bought a black/dark brown reversible belt in 1 1/4" x 3/16" for less than $24 at Walley World. Two pieces sticthed together. So far it has worked well for me with my IWB carry of a G36. Holding up well, looks good as casual or slightly dressy, and goes with any color slacks/shorts.
  2. Everytime I go to the dealer for the scheduled maintenance to keep the warranty in force I am told something else needs to be done. Usually its "the manufacturer recommends so and so" My answer is "No thank you, they should have put it on the list of required maintenance." I understand that is their business but I dislike their methods, especially since my truck came with free required maintenace for three years.
  3. Looks like they are blocking a public street. If I do that I get asked to move by the polkice and hauled in if I don't. Seems fair to me if these people get the same treatment. Do they have permission to sert that rat on private property? Doubt it.
  4. Unfortunately for the Tea Party, it appears to me that she is becoming more and more the Dan Quale of the 2012 elections.
  5. +1 wd-40. Cherokees used the hide for drum heads because it was so tough. Pellet rifle will take a head shot, preferably in the eye.
  6. NRA is right on. I have a Gamo Big Cat 1200 and with their "Gold PBA" ammo it develops 1200 fps. Not a pump--just cock the barrel one time (about 35 lbs pull), load a pellet, close the barrel and fire away. Came with a scope from "Walley World". Knocks squirrels out of a tree or bird feeder if hit in the head or upper torso from about 75-100 feet. Much better than anything I had as a kid.
  7. Resevoir Dog, the main diet of the spider we all call Daddy Long Legs is other spiders. Their mouth is way too small to bite a human so keep them around and you'll have less of the other kind.
  8. I agree with Jonnin. Odd place for a Black Widow but you can never say never with nature.
  9. After 45 years my wife doesn't have to say anything. I know the looks that would have go with your words.
  10. Seems to be the thing to do. I've given him the chance to stop his actions and prepared myself to take action, if needed. Obviously if he move towards the gun while I was talking to him I would fire. I think we need to remember that shooting someone is not as easy to do, or live with afterwards, as it is to type on a keyboard.
  11. IMO until we have wholesale revisions to the tort system it will be difficult to get many common sense laws like this passed because companies are scared of lawsuits. The business lobby (chambers , etc) fight it.
  12. +1 to db99wj. Commercials are too loud. Unfortunately, I believe the FCC rule is they can make the whole commercial 20% louder than the loudest audio spot in the show. So if someone shouts, there is a car crash, explosion, or gunshot they can broadcaast it at +20% volome. Got the spot for the Mute button in my muscle memory!
  13. Seems like there is enough blame to spread on everybody in this story.
  14. Where's his church? Where is Rev. Jackson's church?
  15. I am the father of two grown daughters. Here's my suggestion: When a boy comes to pick her up you sit him down and say, "I want you to know you are going out with the light of her mother's and my life. Also, I want you to know I don't mind going back to prison". Sets the tone for their evening!!
  16. Next to announce, Jane Fonda !!
  17. Welcome neighbor.
  18. +1 mav I'm glad he got the message. I emailed once about another vote he made that went along with the Dems--told him that was not why I voted for him and would be watching until his re-election. He should have learned from what happened to the guy he beat!
  19. Asinine! Stupid! Goverment gone wild! Some idiot had to justify his/her job by dreaming this up. Grew up in South Carolina where you got a regular DL at 14 so kids could help with the chores legally. Government tried to help, not get in the way.
  20. +1 DaveTN Took reading posts a little further down to catch on!
  21. Checkout the outdoors/fishing type shirts at a sporting goods store like Dick's, Academy, etc. Made of cooler material with squared shirttales for outside the pants wear. Never seen any in anything but solid colors. Make sure of size while carrying as they are generally thin material so printing could be an issue unless oversizsed.
  22. Only exception I recall was for state parks. They can leave their "no firearms" signs so they don't have to spend money they don't have to remove or change them. I believe their old signs now apply to non-HCP holders. Anybody know differently? Good job, Fallguy!
  23. My instructor would not allow a .22 because he said hardly anyone carried that caliber and he wanted a truer test of your skills. "People should be accustomed to the recoil and sound of what they would probably carry." When questioned by someone he said the state regs are the minimum an instructor has to follow. He can add if he desires. Also, the rule on listing the weapon, etc changed. A few in the class got certificates with that info on them and the rest of us did not. The certificates were serial numbered so he used the last pack up before starting with the new.
  24. +1 to Castor "The American Republic will endure until the dayCongress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."- Alexis de Tocqueville Looks like the politicians fiqured it out many yrears ago
