  1. Im not sure if you guys are familiar with the Black Mesa Research facility.... but those who do know, know what happens when this stuff dont always work as planned.... Here is a link.
  2. Check this one out!!!
  3. yes.... i was concerned the first time I shot it. Its just a dirty ammo.... good cheap target ammo though. Ive fired about 200 9mm rounds of Tulammo and never had a misfire yet.
  4. Or tell her to sell me the S&W then go get her a Bodyguard, LCR or a Pocket style .380 auto like the LCP or KelTec P3AT!! LOL!!!
  5. The problem with this one is finding fuel after a few weeks/month or so into the Apocalypse. Im one for finding the highest ground possible and setting up a good perimeter. Probably somewhere in the Smokies or up in the mountains in KY somewhere. Plenty of wild game fresh mountain water and good country folk to take up with and fight the hordes that will be invading after the food runs out in the cities. My choice would be a Stryker!!! Probably just a ICV.... Or anyother APC that was available.
  6. I would definitely look at some aftermarket grips. Im not too familar with that model S&W, but some of the other that Ive fired that have the open backstrap open metal between the handle grips really sting when firing even standard 38 loads. The Hogue Tamer grips on the LCR work great at helping absorb the recoil of .38 and .357 loads when fired. You might look into seeing if they make the Tamer for the S&W airweight.....
  7. Took the Ole LCR out today and tried out the interactive target range at Frontier Firearms!!! All I can say is WOW!! I cant believe how accurate this little gun is even at over 50ft. I had only 1 stray fire at a 65ft or so spin around target. Used my Bianchi speed strips to reload in the interactive sessions and it was cool!!! Was shooting PMC 132gr 38SPL target rounds in my session!
  8. Oh man... this LCR has turned me into a Ruger nut!!! Its an awesome little revolver!!! The .357 is actually manageable to mild with the Hogue Tamer grips. .38 is like shooting a 9mm. Little or no recoil. Its accurate too!! My next pistol will be a LCP for pocket carry!!!
  9. Here is my 2 babies!! The Auto is my first ever handgun purchased 7 years ago. Its a Steyr M9 9mm and the Revolver is the Ruger LCR 357. I love both of these guns..... and dont think anything could pry them from my hands!! I added the Glock knife in there cause its just badarse!!!
  10. Im looking to add a Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove to my Steyr M9. I dont know if Pachmayr makes one for my gun though. The Steyr is the same size as the Glock 19 so I was wondering if anyone would know if the Glock 19 Pachmayr grip would fit my gun?
  11. Ive had my 597 since about 99 or so and its been a solid plinker. Ive had several thousand rounds through it and never had many problems. Most of the jamming problems Ive had have been with bad ammo I suspect. I love shooting CCI MiniMags through it. It seems to be a great ammo esp for the $ The Brick of Remington .22LR sucks... Thats what I have had the most problems out of.
  12. :koolaid:Hello Im Wes. Been around guns of some form or another since I was 5 or so. Spent 6 years in the US Army, and as of 06 I came back home to TN. I am going to be taking a CCW course soon and was told about this forum by Bubbatn.
  13. Im really loving the mini series so far!!! I went back and made my wife watch the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead last night. Next up is 1978 Dawn of the Dead!!!
  14. I just got the LCR in .357 and it is such a sweet little gun. Ive put about 25 rounds through it and the trigger is something to be talked about. The recoil when firing the 357 rounds is really mild with the Hogue Tamer grips. Id say with the Crimson Trace or the Boot grip you might feel a little more but the overall design of the gun really helps with taming the recoil. I have a Tagua inside the waistband holster and it carries really comfortable. Ive wore it around the house a little.... since I dont have my CCW yet. I will be attending a course soon and will be carrying this revolver with full confidence. 2 thumbs up!!! Best little shortie Ive ever held/fired!!!
  15. Its probably not likely... but The fear is always there. Thats why when I start carrying Im using my double action revolver. Here is a video of a torture test of the glock trigger.
  16. Sweet Bubba!!! When you gonna let me put a few through it? LOL!!
