I have one as well. Haven't shot it that much but do enjoy it. With bulk ammo it becomes a manually cycled piece, so I use CCI maximags. Wish they made a WMR model.

Breakfast classics from your childhood
china coaster replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Our farm was a dairy farm when I was a kid. We'd come in from the barn and have some type of pork with eggs, biscuts and gravy. We kids drank milk strait from the barn that had part of the cream spooned off after sitting over night. Brains and eggs were only eaten at hog killing time when fresh. A favorite Sunday breakfast in the summer was fried chicken, fried corn, sliced tomatoes, biscuts and gravy. -
I also youse a fobus paddle holster for waist pants. In bibb overalls I'll use a MK7 rig.

I take the Spring Valley brand from walmart as does my wife , and it helps her but not to the extent it has me. My care provider at the VA suggest I take the glucosomine chondroitin with tomato juice so I'll do that occasionally. My sciatica is from an arthritic disc and the arthritis and sciatica are much better. Not everyone gets the same results.

I think I have met that fella except he was telling me what a piece of crap those late 90s and early 2000s Dodges with Cummins engines were. Couple of my friends were smiling; three of us there drove them but never let on. I noticed the photo of the Brigidier, my taurus 917 is a copy. Hadn't known that.

Excercise and stretching are great for most problems especially sciatica. I had a pretty rough year with it most of 2010. This past Sept I began taking Glucosamine with Chondroitin and within 6 weeks my sciatica ,arthritris, and swelling in my feet and lower legs were much better. I sold on it.

Dems losing mind over new Voter ID laws...
china coaster replied to MattCary's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Nice Mac, my post was to make the point that we have allowed this instant gratification culture to get out of hand. FYI my wife and I also have a residence in Mt Juliet and I can't cash a check there but she can at her bank. On the other hand I can buy alcohol without an ID there. I don't need to cash a check anywhere but my little bank here in my community. I get what I need just once every several weeks. For those times when away I have a visa with debit or credit capability. When we live for convenience someone will provide it then charge us for it. As far as China is concerned I have bought alcohol and tobacco there without an ID. I think the word ammo is forbidden there. -

Now may be a good time to get or renew your HCP. I wrote my 50.00 check and sent it to TDS with my renewal form on 29 nov. and received my new HCP yesterday. Mine didn't expire until April.

For all you folks that contend that operating a motor vehicle is a privilege why didn't the country fall apart the first 30 or 40 years before licenses were widley used. When I was a kid it was very common to know older people that had no license. If you think it's a privilege just let the state ban private vechicles in favor of public transportation and watch the state try and inforce it. I can get on my 7 ton tractor and get on any road without a license and I've heard of no great out cry to ban farmers from roads. All this means is that we accept the regulation because it is an inconvenience we can live with. Make it a lot tougher and see what happens.

How do you carry your j-frame?
china coaster replied to Parrothead's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
RF pocket in a no- name nylon or home made leather holster. A Crossbreed super tuck also works well in cooler weather. -
I am a retired mariner and spent four years in the yankee navy sailing off vietnam then 21 years on tankers and box ships mostly in SE Asia. Some times people that spent most of their time over in that area were referred to as old "China coasters"

I'm guessing she wants single action since you mention Uberti,Ruger, and Heritage. S&W makes some fine 10 shot 22lr and taurus has several 9 shots ; and they are double action.

Anyone EDC a larger revolver
china coaster replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have a M21 S&W 4" barrel and I can carry it in a Simply Rugged pancake when it is cool enough to wear a cover shirt or jacket. Of course folks like us and cops can spot it but sheeple can't. A cross breed IWB would be about the only way to do it in warm weather. -
Does anyone have one of the NAA top break WMRs?

OWS protestors Oakland CA Amazingly Ignorant
china coaster replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I watch people at tea party rallys being interviewed and some of them sound like fools. I watch those at a occupy somewhere rally and they all sound like fools. A comment from my very liberal, Obama voting wife on watching an occupy crowd was " if those people would get a job they would have no time to occupy anything" I am a 1%er, have been a 53%er and for much of my working carreer was a 5%er (in the upper 5 percent of income earners) and when off the job and home I would be pulling calves, vacinating cows, cleaning fence rows, working on my house, and putting up hay. These occupy people don't realize that when they do away with the capitalist they starve or are shot as they are no longer needed. -
Google Bud's guns and lipseys they will give you an idea about prices.

Turns out, the South is a pretty nice place to live
china coaster replied to JG55's topic in General Chat
Ever notice how folks that extol the attributes , and offer advice on what to expect down here usually aren't native Southrons. My wife is a writer, lecturer and story teller and we are involved in living history and Southern heritage research and presentations. we have noticed that those from long time southern famlies have a revived interest in their heritage. At events we participate in someone in our group will set up their laptop and entertain questions on geneaology, and are always swamped with inquiries. Even the yankees want to be Southern. Who would have thunk it?
