  1. Makes you wonder why we're getting raped for $600. But, other manufacturers could most likely match, or beat that price as well.
  2. My main beef with this, is that criminals aren't logical people most of the time. That's why they do stupid things that get them caught. They are animals. A lion might scare away a pack of hyenas one day, for them to kill him in his sleep the next. Letting them get away only subjects you to possible further, even more aggressive violence, and/or them going somewhere else and committing the crime against someone unable to defend themselves. You are essentially throwing a threat back out into society, when you have the chance to neutralize it.
  3. You wanna, ya know, make some more room in the safe? I might be able to use an M44...
  4. I don't see whats special about your home, if one would merely tuck tail and run if someone committed an act of violence against it. What makes something ours is our right and ability to defend it. Your home is a place you should be able to feel safe, and not have to run out the back door whenever a criminal decides to destroy you and yours.
  5.   Yes, precisely. If I'm in public, sure, I'll run faster than a cheetah on steroids. But not in my home. Every man's home is his castle.

    I'll give you cookies...
  7. Someone that has broken into my house poses a potential danger to me, as his intentions, theft or violence, cannot be readily known. The castle doctrine dictates that I need not retreat, if I suspect myself or my loved ones to be in danger of bodily harm. Being a criminal is dangerous, I got news for ya.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMFFMcp8WdI
  8. My home is my holy domain. If someone breaches it, they can expect me to defend me and mine. The idea that I would run out of my own home to avoid hurting an intruder is offensive. The only reason I would even consider doing that would be to avoid all the crud with the state. If scared away, a thug can just come back another night, with more dudes, and guns.

Alright, thx guys. I just hate going through FFL's. Any of you have C&R's? Was it a long process?

I'd like to buy a mosin, preferably a carbine version. M44 or M38, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding any. You guys seen any around?
  11. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but my idea would have been to brace it with your forearm. That way your arm and hand is down by your side in a natural position that wouldn't attract attention. That said, grabbing it with your hand is better than having it fall onto the floor, since you didn't know about your second strap.   On a side note, you might consider going with kydex. Very strong, thin, and light. RKBA makes a fantastic one.
  12. "Your Handgun Carry Permit Application has been approved." Hell yeah!
  13. Guy Personal Defense does a class in Murfreesboro for $40 per.
  14. PPS, XDS, PF9, PM9, Shield...
  15. I sometimes wonder who Glock slept with to get all these government contracts. Its a good gun, but not the best, nor the cheapest.
  16.   Ha.They sure take their precious time.
  17.   Yeah, I've heard of them. But the 30S is even wider than the typical Glock 19 according to Glock's site. Even so, the 19 is a full tenth of an inch wider than the PPS, XDS, PF9, etc. Isn't much, but makes a difference when in a concealed carry type context.
  18.   PPS here as well. I don't see why people bother with Glocks, or any other wide handgun when it comes to concealed carry.
  19.   I'm pretty sure you would leave in the back of a car and not the front of one. :P
  20.   Well, I'm already done and out of there. I was more talking about how long it would take for them to send me my permit. I've heard different locations take longer, or shorter.
  21. I submitted my application online about a month ago, then hiked over to the Williamson office today and forked them over their $115 for 4 years worth of constitutional rights. Getting fingerprints done today as well. Anyone give me a figure of about how long it'll take for them to process it?
  22. BTW, I have a IWB kydex holster for a Walther PPS I'd like to get rid of. If anyones interested, send me a PM  ;)
  23. I don't know if you guys run with kydex holsters or not, but I got a OWB holster from RKBA this past month... Lovin it! The best hardcore holster you could want, I'm very pleased with it. You guys should try them out next time your in the market for a holster. They do custom leather holsters as well.   http://rkbaholsters.com/

  25. The Glock 19 is smaller, and lighter. The Beretta is a very reliable handgun, but it is an all metal frame, and rather bulky when talking about concealed carry. Not that the Glock 19 wouldn't be considered bulky when compared to other 9mm's. The PF9, DB9, PPS, XDS, and PM9 for instance.
