BHP hands down and you'll only regret not buying one sooner.

The sights are generally regulated to the listed to the standardized norms of the listed caliber. So in your case the .38 Special will or actually should have a different point of impact. It comes down to finding the best ammunition lot numbers which produce the best results and stocking up on them. Some guns and loads are a total accuracy write off so you really do have to experiment with different loadings.

Bad news indeed. I've fallen enough times to have lost count but every one of those falls hurt. In this recent icy, slush and snow mix I've been especially cautious as living in a more rural area a fall related injury could be fatal. The operative word is caution.

Ditch the BG and keep the Shield :pleased: Otherwise it looks like a fair exchange to me with everybody happy.

Semi Customized.45 ACP Series 70 Colt Combat Commander that was stolen. If you ever see one in blued steel, with Millet fixed sights, beavertail safety and long trigger have it checked through NCIC, I'd like to get it back....I'd also like about 45 minutes alone with whoever stole it too...

Nope, won't ride a M/C in inclement weather, worked too many M/C crashes over the years to even think it'd be a good ideal. Pretty much feel the same way about riding in heavy congested traffic as as a primary means of transportation as well. I'm pretty much a recreational, scenic riding motorcyclist. You picked up an excellent bike which has great power to weight performance and reliability. The only thing you need to keep and eye on is cylinder head temps. But you probably already knew this from the 750.

So why is this thing reminding me of a tarted up Walther P-99...sorry, just not feeling it...

As far as I can determine they're Syrian expatriates themselves who were born and raised in the UK. There's been a lot of problems in the UK with radicalized Imam's and followers resulting in abuses of women. These girls might be Western by birth but not by mindset as they're outsiders on both sides of the family/community equation. It doesn't take much to spin them into a radicalized Islamist mindset belief of acceptance and belonging. Of course the ultimate result is a very brutal introduction to savagery, degradation and all to soon death. Stupid in this case is ignorance and gullibility that leaves the rest of us shaking our heads in disbelief.

KKing you missed the point on reading about NOI and MOA because in doing so you'd learn how hybridized each are from Islam as a whole. Being wary of that which is different is an overall sound cautionary practice instilled in our very genetic base and reinforced by family and societal norms. Now as to whether American Islam's can be radicalized which is the underlying theme in this thread...that is decidedly a concern which only the future can determine.

The Muslins of America MOA compound or more accurately community in Dover has been there for many years and is well known to area LEA. The people living there are self separated in living style and choice from the city and county. Many adults are drawing retirement incomes or have jobs in adjacent communities. You need to bear in mind MOA is not the Muslim you read about, see or hear in the Middle East. Most MOA are African American. Don't be paranoid but do be aware. Your greater risk would be a Civil Litigation for a Civil Rights violation. Bottom line simply treat them with the respect you would wish to be treated with and you will be pleasantly surprised. Fear and suspicion exists on both sides so keep and open mind and open heart. I suggest a bit of reading on the Nation of Islam and MOA.

No Caster it's not escaped me that lie isn't fair or that air and equal treatment is and illusion. Providing extra perks to and established long term customer is where the dealing salting back a bit of hard to find ammunition is one thing. Having and employee do the same for an acquaintance or friend is another story. That's an ethically bad business practice where employee carelessness got it noticed. Should the business do such a thing? That's up to them, me I'll go someplace else.

Whenever I get crapped on at a business or by a business I make it very clear they've lost an entire families and extended families business. I then make it a point to factually point out what happened to anyone who ever inquires as to doing business with that origination. I do not accept untruthful apologies meant to appease me nor do I accept gift cards to entice me back. FWIW I'm pretty brutal to bad business practices and management and am annoyed at people who continue to return to such businesses after being treated like crap there.

Is it luck or do I just know how to care for pistols?
TNWNGR replied to espacef1fan's topic in Handguns
My $.02 are its more likely you got good representative product samples, are using ammunition within design parameters and are holding them correctly when shooting them. All guns require lubricant and all manufactures recommend new guns be cleaned and lubed prior to shooting them. -
Someone needs and ass whipping for a stunt like that

Actually the 19 makes better sense then the 17 for SOC work in that it is just enough smaller then the 17 to make a real difference. Think along the lines of additional weapons load outs or concealed weapons under exterior outerwear. Covert Operations in Marine or Costal , Tropical, Arid or Artic environments is right up the 19's performance design. It is also well suited for a variety of hand sizes as not all SOC Operators are of and oversized large body or hand shape group.

Of all the emergency or disaster prepping you may do a well prepared mind and a can do attitude is what counts the most. In this winter mix we're currently experiencing supplement heat and means of cooking are more crucial then a power genset. Always keep some dried and canned food staples on hand. In a vehicle the basic tool set and a means of getting unstuck are always a good thing. Overall in vehicle or home a good 72 hour emergency kit in a pack or duffle is good insurance. Power Bar's, drink mix, dried fruit and nuts last a long time and work.

Aside from its abundantly good quality I can only say it looks like a modern pistol ought to look like. In other words it's not a brick and has good design style.
-
The IV Gen. G-21 does feel better in hand then its predecessors but it's still a brick with no ergonomics. The S&W M&P isn't a brick but doesn't appeal to me, even though it handles and shoots like a dream. Oddly enough the somewhat of a G-clone Ruger SR-45 feels good in hand and has better ergonomics then the G-21. It comes down to competitors trying to find the right niche market and customer preference.

Started with about 3/4" of pelletized snow base at 0445 and is now sleeting....depending on how much sleet vs. snow falls is going to determine what happens to the power grid here in the Montgomery County area. As to the roads...that's going to be nasty...

My recommendations are both from the same manufacture...http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_49_1815/products_id/54585/Ruger+LCP+3701+6%2B1+380ACP+2.75%22 and...http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_49_1815/products_id/84871/Ruger+3801+SR45+10%2B1+45ACP+4.5%22 The LCP is a first class pocket pistol and I've had enough pocket pistols to have learned about them. The SR 45 has better ergonomics in my hands then the G-21 or M&P 45 full sized pistols. Its also more reliable and accurate then people give it credit for. Additionally its trigger and striker fired set up is very Glock like but not the ugly only a Mother could love...<grin>

45c's lighter and easier to long term carry but doesn't have the class of a good 1911....so it's up to you....

You currently have be best possible set up a 4" & 6" barrel variant of the same revolver. Even better its a heavy duty .357 Magnum built to withstand heavy use with full power loads. No they're not the older S&W K and N frames I prefer or the L frame I've never come to like. Instead they're bread and butter good quality revolvers which are in high demand and are excellent field and personal defense guns. From personal experience with other 4" vs. 6" vs. 3" keep or trade gun decisions it comes down to this. Keeping both of them isn't costing you anything. Trading or selling one will result in long term regret.

That'd be a safe bet GT but Colt did offer a checkered walnut grip during that timeline as well, you just see more of that darn Bakelite stuff.

Hmmm. Interesting question but since you've indicated a desire to stay with an all metal 9mm P I'm going to suggest my favorite first the Browning Hi Power. Next will be the Beretta 92 FS followed by a CZ75 Clone. But for giggles and grins you might want to play with a High Point Arms C-9 just for the heck of it.
