  1. Yeah. You sum things up rather nicely. The G-26 is far more comfortable to shoot but is unfortunately every bit as thick as its larger G-19 counterpart. The proper belt & holster combination and clothing will make concealment and carry both easy and comfortable but a slimmer near pocket 9mm is sweet. Initially I thought the 43 would eliminate the 26 or that 43 sales would taper off and it lose sales volume. Now I think both the 26 and 43 will continue in their own niche markets.
  2. Well...it beats a .22 RFM...and its a good cartridge, I just wonder what its going to be likie fired from a LCR snubbie.
  3.   Actually for those of us here it'd be more about learning how to do it and then putting it to a practical application until satisfied with the knowledge and experience.
  4. I'm curious if the alternative energy ethanol still has to be permited prior to the build or prior to putting it into production. But once you've figured out the ATF approved course of action let me know. I can easily make a trip and help you out for a day or so, by then I should be making a little bit of beer at home.
  5. I bet some 14 year old kid with an activist father ddn't take a clock apart to instal it into that pencil box!!!
  6.   I agree the 19 is easier to shoot well with and the 26 holds its own with the 19 insofar as hands on shooting goes. But both have more girth then the 43 and when holster width and girth come into play it makes a difference in carry comfort. Particularly so with an IWBH and less then loose fitting clothing. I'm about ready now to go ahead and buy a 43.
  7. The S&W "Chief's Special" you've pictured is the S&W Model 36. It is a J Frame, five round .38 Special and a lot of fun to shoot. I don't know if your fathers was amoung the first nickle plated versions released as I believe those had the older style wooden grips. FWIW S&W was producing nickle plated revolvers before the turn of the century. I'm pleased you recieved your fathers firearms and am certain you will treasure them
  8.   Certainly, once their website's up and running for ordering I'll submit an order. I'd be interested in seeing if this company would reconsider a relocation to TN given they'll be starting from scratch.
  9. Just post a time and date and I'll make time to be there, it doesn't matter if its at the range or a resturant.

    College! YAY!

Man, does that bring back memories, I had the same uncomfortable desk and chairs set upi in my dorm room, back in the day as the say. Of course that was BPC (before personal computers) booze was verboten but proliferate.
  11.   I've used a 5s before but can't remember how much larger the 6s screen is. If you haven't already traded or sold your wife's 4s then don't, there's a remote monitoring app for your I-Phone. Set up older I-Phones or I-Pads hooked up to your homes WIFI and presto wireless remote monitoring.
  12. I'm impressed, really good interactive work and entertaining. I used to know a female artist-instructory at Nossi, dark long curly hair, can't remember if she was Itialian or what. Anyhow she had some time elapsed sleep cycle pictures of herself as an art work that was excellent. Made me appreciate the talent it takes to package all of that.
  13.   Can't fault you on that and I I'd already had an I-Phone 5 or 6 I wouldn't have been interested. But I didn't own an I-Phone and the last two Android phones I had were work issued.
  14. I believe that if I were wanting to get started and decide whether I wanted to dealve deeper into the art of distillation I'd start out with a pressure cooker still set up... http://www.countryfarm-lifestyles.com/how-to-make-moonshine.html#.Vghe0TZdFjr With a set up like this you can easily turn inexpensive wine into grappa or cognac w/o doing a mash. As for me I'm trying to learn to make a decent beer.
  15. Well observations to date are its fairly intuative to use if you've used an I-Pad or Android phones. The case is rigid but as with any smartphone the screen is the concern. I have an Otter Defender on order to resolve that. The camera is awsome, and battery lifes looking good. It being my first I-Phone I'm wary of the profleration of avalable apps. Otherwise from all I can ascertain its just an improved I-Phone 6 that's not going to bend as easily in your back pocket.
  16. *groan* off color humor, but done rather well non the less...
  17.   Nope. Its not a bad thing. The Catholic Church has many enemies, most of those are historical with long detailed histories. It also cannot continue to flourish in this country as it once did without an influx of the faithful What's the most rapidly growing Roman Catholic racial group in this country? There are mutually beneficial needs between the two and with the enormous influx of illegal Hispanic's a symbiotic relationship. Nothing sinister but an opportunity none the less.
  18. Hmm? Lets see...instead of Zulu Dawn we substitute Zombie Dawn, a little poodle shooter and a big ole knife...yeah, I see how that ones going to end...*chuckle*snort*
  19. OK lets think this through a bit. You have a G-43 which is slimmer then the G-26 with its principle design and marketing point being concealibility. Right? So your going to negate that by putting a laser light combo setup on it? If your going to do that then reconsider carrying a G-19 instead. Now the XS-Big Dots sights and a small tactical flashlight in your pockets a different story as well as continuing to be a discretely comfortable CCW. But here's the kicker. If you don't consistently practice with the little sucker a better set of sights isn't going to justify themselves. The reason being the most likely scenario for a private citizen lethal force encounter's going to be in the 2 to 5 yard range IMHO.
  20. And bringing in more illegal hispanics, who are predomantantly Roman Catholic, greatly increases the Catholic Church in this country.
  21. Thank's for the information. I'd heard of them but not purchased from them. Given I've been putzing around with my own hobbiest level holster work I hadn't planned on any holster purchases. You've just changed my mind and I'll make an order with these folks once they get up and running again.
  22. I loaded .218 Bee and .22 Hornet many years ago when I was varmiting with T/C HG and used a Rockchucker odly enough. The RC has a good feel to it if you slowly ease the handle down. Overall you'll lose some shell cases but not enough to worry over spilt beer so just have fun.
  23. You are absolutely correct Dave, I suspect if I ever run across a PLR-16 that's still on the shelf at a LGS I'll drop the coin and paperwork application time to take it home. I'm wondering if the PLR-16 would fall into the acceptable category for the SiG and like arm braces?
  24. Well I don't feel sorry for the bully who punched the visualy impaired kid, he thought he was going to get away with a cheap shot. Of course the schools and such want everyone to do a Gandhi and stand there being beaten or watching someone be beaten. I guess they think that martyrdom-victim experience is going to convince everyone violence isn't the answer.
  25.   Yeah and an Mother Russia US Gov't denatured and acceptable AK at least until Obama-Rama called foul...
