Bottom right hand corner of the page... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules Your not the first to ask and won't be the last.

So essentially Facebook groups created their own sub forums for the purposes of extolling firearms or simply as a means of advertising in order to sell or trade guns within the sub forum. That sounds like a convoluted gun forum set up in an overtly left leaning liberal social forum. Its a wonder someone didn't pull the plug sooner...

Never having had or used a Facebook or Instagram account I'm of the "so what" opinion.

Who has a RCBS or Redding turret press?
TNWNGR replied to jeff43's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Yes. FWIW I recommend the complete Classic Turret Kit with hand held primer tools, scale, powder measure etc. Even if you don't need the extra stuff its handy to have around. I'd post some links but the site (or my computer) are being a bit buggy about that at the moment. Go to Midway or Mid South Shooting Supply and take a look for yourself. -
Who has a RCBS or Redding turret press?

The Lee Classic Cast Press and Classic Cast Turret press are entirely different animals...both are very well built and very heavy duty. After owning a progressive Lee press the only Lee products I trusted were the dies and bullet molds. The Classic Cast Turret press changed my mind. -
Who has a RCBS or Redding turret press?

Nope I've never seen a used Redding T-7 for sale but turret presses get listed occasionally in the TGO Classifieds as well as on other forums. I frequently see them on Craigslist. As good as the Redding T-7 is another cast iron turret press worth your consideration is the Lee Classic Cast Turret press. It's solid, consistent, will use any dies or powder measure you like and is very affordable. If it doesn't do everything you want its a great spare press. -
1st TN (Knoxville city) speeding ticket...any advice/tips
TNWNGR replied to scinmyheart's topic in General Chat
There should be a phone number to the municiple court clerks office I'd call them and ask if you can pay the citation w/o appearing in court or if a traffic school is avalable. If the traffic school's avalable ask what the total cost (school & court cost) is and if you can pay that w/o appearing in court. If so then theres your answer. Generally speaking the traffic school keeps the citation from showing up on your driving record. Traffic schools are sometimes held on either a week night or a Saturday morning and generally last around four hours. -
Or the generic equivalent's. Regardless of how you store your magazines they should really be in a sealed container for best results. I put up metal shelving units beside my shop benches and have enough sealable storage bins to separate and store magazines, holsters, scopes and misc. parts. A printed label showing the containers contents taped or glued onto the outermost edge of the container tells you what's inside. Its a great way to keep dust, mildew, corrosion and such off of your gear. Desiccant packs or a good shop dehumidifier are very useful.

It could be and likely as not soon will be worse...much worse...should you question this look at Canada. Now look at the number of State Income Taxes in our country...I have enough friends who own small businesses they are getting out of as rapidly as possible to see how bad it is on them.
-
Yeah. Its a great value product, enough so to buy the one just like the one you handled and still pick up the SF model later. What's that they say two is one if the other goes down???
-
It was a special order NIB that the customer who ordered it backed out of buying. You won't have any trouble finding one in Clarksville given the fact Academy generally has some on hand. I'd just call around and find a local business and go take a look. Insofar as your parts concerns go any initial concerns are warranty related and replacement parts will be available. Any aftermarket parts and such are driven by the available market.

I handled on at Tn Gun Country some time back and while favorably impressed didn;t have any urge to purchase it at that time. I've since come to the conclusion my concerns over the de-cocker were groundless. I can see the design and marketing mindset behind the de-cocker but not its actual viability. I'll continue to follow these Canik threads for a bit longer before I make a decision to purchase one as I'm in no hurry.

Eye of the beholder...I personally think Glock's and all of the assorted Tupperware Clone ware are unsightly as can be. That doesn't stop everybody from buying and carrying them though. In a lot of ways the easily changed barrel on the S&W V-22 is appealing so I suspect if it is priced right and shoots well it'll sell.
-
No, it's not really a touchy subject just differing opinions onthe level of customazation and money involved being put into a Glock. None of that really mattters to anyone else but you though because its your Glock and your money. If having these folks do a full custom gun for you is what you want then do it, I haven;t found anything negative on them. I know other folks who've spent a lot of money having ROBAR do full custom frame mods and slide work on GLOCKS and they have all the customers they can handle. I hope you post completed pictures of your G-19 you intend to have worked on.

6' 10" & 230# would make you thin enough to fit in anything with enough headspace... and legroom...LOL. Your nine inches taller and 35# heavier then me. Of course my losing thirty some odd pounds through diet and exercise suddenly made small cars somewhat more comfortable.

I appreciate all of the good comments and recomendations. Up until the last few years I never would have considered a Subaru, CRV or RAV 4 because they were uncomfortably tight once I was inside them. However, all of them have become somewhat larger and more roomy inside. The Edge suprises me with its interior space for that matter.

I'm doing my research and due dilligance on a pending small SUV/AWD vehicle. Currently I'm looking seriously at the Subaru Forester and Ford Edge. With those selections you can pretty well determine the price range I'm leaning towards. The four-cylinder engine in the Subaru kind of concerns me but it does have pretty good HP. I generally look first at slightly used vehicles but have sometimes purchased year end models when the price was right. Do any of you have recommendations?

Unless your dead set on SR9c Mag's the do like most of us who've owned and shot Glock 19 and 23's do, purchase mags for the full sized model.

It's actually a really nice rifle and you can safely use fairly warm reloads of SJSP-SJHP bullets w/o fear of the deformation during recoil in a tube magazine. It being of stainless steel and synthitic stock construction makes it a nice outdoors gun or knock around truck or trunk rifle. What you get is a nice little deer or hog hunting rifle for a competent shooter/hunter. It is a good compainion piece to a .357 Magnum revolver.

First above all others would be a 1970's production run of the Marlin 1895 45/70, second would be a Ruger #1 45/70 from the same time period that was proven to not have a wandering zero. Last, but not least as I plan on getting one myself later would be the Henry 45/70.

Agreed. And it wasn't any better in the late seventies and eighties either. I'm certain its no better but I still like the location. Sort of one of those nice to see or visit kind of things.

Yeah. You actually live in about the best part of the state for overall weather, scenery and outdoor activities. I always expected to end up living in Tellico Plains or at least have a small week-end get away there. Almost as pretty as The Smoky Mountains but not as congested. The downside though is a good (or rather bad) storm is worse.
