That's my feelings as well, but I'll also consider a BU9 Nano as well, preferably both.

As much as I like the 1911 pistol platform in .45ACP and 9mmP I detested it in 10MM. The Glock 20 and 29 are functional but bulky if one suits a persons carry style and needs kudos because they're reliable. Others will extol the attributes of the E.A.A. and its like, I'll read about it. For woods walking in bear country with a powerful lighter weight handgun I'd recommend a stainless steel single action revolver with a 4 5/8 " or 5 1/2 " barrel. My preference would be a Ruger Blackhawk in ..45 Colt or .41 Magnum but you can go with a Vaquero or Super Blackhawk in .44 Magnum.

I've got an original Enfield No.4 MK 1* Long Branch .303 British that my father left me and like it a lot for the sentimentality and its history. It's incredibly accurate and is what it is a good representation of what military rifles used to be. Yours is strictly a shooter now so take it out and have some fun with it. I think you acquired a fun recreational rifle.

If your using a smartphone for pics then e-mail the pics to yourself. It should prompt you to pick a pic size mode. Pick either small or medium then upload them to your pic account. Those will then easily transfer to TGO. Or you can just post a link and not change anything you've already done. I know I simplified the whole process but tech talk gets old. BTW nice selection for a carry gun, congrats.

Yeah, I can see where that hashtag didn't work out so well for them on the expedition. Shame really but Everest as has already been pointed out doesn't care who or what you are or believe its just waiting patiently to build up the body count. What's not commonly known even though its been reported that mountain is littered with frozen bodies of climbers it claimed. Its so bad you can't climb w/o seeing dead climbers.

LOL...I'm not an M&P pistol enthusiast and can easily do w/o them but I'm a big fan of the older S&W revolvers and 3rd gen 5906. However I do like the Shield and those I've handled have had good triggers and just felt better then the larger M&P's. I'm the same way with the SA XD line, I just don't like them but the XDs9 & XDs45 are real gems that I do like. Anyone whose read much of what I've said should know I have a love hate thing going on with all things Glock but have more training hours spent with that brand then any other.

I've owned a G-36 and shot an XDs .45 I can already tell you once the Shield .45 has been out for a couple of months I'll be scouting around for one. And I was getting ready to buy an XDs .45, sure am glad I waited.

I'm glad to read about this one because I'd been planning on an XDs .45 I like the ergonomics of the Shield better. I believe I'll try and do some comparison so I can make an informed decision because either one are light weight pocket rockets.

Florida police chief writes himself a parking ticket
TNWNGR replied to ou812's topic in General Chat
Really small bedroom community that's part of a larger tourist destination and the police departments pretty small. All I all looks like the Chief and probably some others were trying to do some damage control. It probably would have worked out better if the Mayor had laid a disciplinary package on the Police Chief. The bottom line though is how much do you want to make of someone getting caught and publically shamed? http://www.groveland-fl.gov/148/Police-Department -
It actually should because when done in moderation its a great way to meet people and socialize with one another. Besides I'm a lightweight, I rarely even finish a brewed adult beverage anymore and know a lot of other people who are the same way now.

It's the behind the scenes work that we have so little knowledge of that keeps a successful forum going. I'll either buy you a beer sometime or gift you with a home brewed six pack.

ROTGLMAO....Sure...S&W would never import anything and sell it with the S&W name on it. Come to think of it neither would Colt....right?
-
AFIR they've had injection molding equipment and such for some time now. As to the rest its dependent upon the level of finish of the slide. Is it fully CNC'd here or just final finish?
-
Think about it this way. Its an Austrian design pistol made with tooling and machinery from foreign countries by employees trained by foreign workers and imported raw materials. So its really Made in USA in name only.

You've been given some excellent advice in order to make your decision. I ran a Ford 1310 for a number of years with a PTO powered finishing mower and that's all it had enough power to do. It would do aright with a four foot box blade but only for leveling gravel or slowly working soft soil. If possible something in the 30-40 HP range will be a lot better for a small tractor. I just hope your fortunate enough to find something good at a fair price.

That's been my experience as well and exactly what I did. But I still really like the Coex containers for a lot of purposes.

All I can say is reading this thread and all of the different comments reaffirmed my decision not to go with a Mopar product. For that matter it helped me to decide not to even bother with an SUV.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPvXnmBIO7o It's a bit of smoke and mirrors from all accounts because the solar power panel isn't large enough to fill the bottle in a timely manner. This doesn't mean something better couldn't be worked out but it's going to take more power. What your basically dealing with is a miniaturized dehumidifier filling up the water bottle. It would take several days of continuous sunlight to work with the above mentioned self filling water bottle.

Congragulatios and best wishes for a long and happy marrage.

From all accounts the girls Uncle has left a frightning trail of purchases behind him leading up to this little girl going missing. I hope she's found quickly and she hasn't been harmed.

Nice work! Did you keep track with the total umber of hours you spent on the project?

I don't know if you've gotten your vest modified (or should we say talored) yet or not but I've thought about it. You might be overthinking what your wanting done as just installing grommets will allow you to snug it up. Instead of two vertical or angled rows of grommets per side put in four. That way you have the ability to fit it w/o a lot of folded leather being visible. You can even use concha's as a more decorative grommet. Just a thought but nonetheless something you can DIY.

Nice rifle in a very versatile caliber, I really hated it when Ruger dropped the #3, if you ever decide to part with it you'll be surprised at how fast it goes. I should have bought one when they were still being manufactured.
