You might want to look at a 6mmx.223, it uses your once fired .223 brass and is easy to fire form and load for. It used to be kind of popular but the 6.8 SPC kind of took over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6×45mm I know a few guys who've killed deer and hogs with this round and love it.

Yeah, I've seen that and using them to clear rooms on businesses where burglar alarms activated etc. Burned up a lot of expensive batteries using a weapon light as a flashlight. As to people drawing attention to themselves doing the OC thing. I've seen some who stood out like a neon sign and others you wouldn't notice. I've seen the same with people trying to do concealed carry, its about piking the right equipment for your body build and preferred style of dress then knowing how to do it.

http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-hammer-coach-12-20-fixed-cyl-bore/ With rifled sub caliber insert for .22 WMR and a black powder adapter insert. http://www.gunadapters.com/ That takes are of foraging and basic firearms defense as well as affording you the opportunity to obtain a more effective long gun someone else doesn't need any longer should things have degenerated into that level of savagery.

To be graphically honest if someone's at contact range committing bodily to you and you pop them with a .22 LR or .380 ACP its going to do a bit more the get them off of you. A pistol muzzle in contact or near contact with a human body is going to project gasses and debris right behind that bullet. Depending upon the mule angle its either going to be an exceptionally outwardly nasty wound or all internal. That's one of the reasons bang sticks are so effective on sharks and gators. But the downside of a contact gunshot with a pistol is you might only get the one shot.

Glasses in SHTF Situation - Zenni
TNWNGR replied to I am Groot!'s topic in Survival and Preparedness
I can see going with Zenni for a standard prescription and maybe even bifocals but I wear trifocals and there's a certain level of measurement involved in getting the lenses lined up correctly. Most likely I'll be having cataract surgery in about a year or so which will probably leave me with a pair of reading glasses. -
I've carried an LCP and Walther PPK/S more then any other .380 ACP platforms and prefer the LCP for its smaller size and better reliability. But I'd really rather have a 9mm P that I could comfortably pocket carry, the problem is I haven't found one that fit the bill I trust yet. Old Shoot has me interested in checking out the Kimber PM9 now to see if its small enough to be an EDC pocket pistol. Bersaguy presents a good case for a .22LR pocket pistol as a secondary to a larger 380 and I'm sure it suits his needs. I'm not going to make fun of a .22LR as a defensive round because I've seen people who have been shot with different caliber pistols who either lived or died. But either way the fight pretty much stopped once they were shot.

I received one of the 30 oz. YETI's as a gift recently and liked it so much I bought a 20 oz. YETI. I'll probably go with RTC for some additional tumblers and water bottles. https://www.rticcoolers.com/ I haven't seen any of the Ozark Trails tumblers in the local Walmarts yet.

I've used boiled linseed oil to refinish a few stocks myself, its a very long drawn out process with multiple coats. Linspeed is a much easier product that you can either gloss up or dull down so its my first choice. Good score on the WASR, those are nice rifles.

I've trained extensively on AR-15's and like them but am also very agreeable to a folding stock AK for tight quarters such as homes. But neither are what I'd grab in the middle of the night if I needed a defensive weapon.

Yeah, The G-43 is small enough to feel different, the Shield is just a smidgen bigger but its textured grip feels just a little bit better. I still haven't made my mind up on which one to buy but with the .45 ACP Shield coming out I'm leaning towards the G-43 as a pocket carry.

I'd pretty much present my case that I had a defective product I wanted warranty repair service done on and I expected them to send me a pre-paid shipping label. This can be done via e-mail and isn't a big deal. It would then be on you to properly package the firearm and take it to the shipping location. If you fail to receive satisfaction ask to speak with a supervisor. Should the supervisor fail to be accommodating to this simple request I'd advise said supervisor its become a topic of interest in a regional gun forum. Even better if its posted in some other forums.

Good video and very informative. It's also interesting that all (or most) of those students you interviewed are Millennials.

I looked closely at the ecoboost V-6 engine Ford is using and had a '97 F-150 with the Vortex V-6 engine in it once. There's plenty of power for everyday driving, comminuting, people hauling and most cargo and towing. If I had been in the market for a standard 2WD truck I'd have gone that route. But for a Supercrew 4x4 I wanted the added torque and power of a V-8. I'm in agreement with those here who don't care for the diesel engine Ford uses and who prefer a 3/4 or 1 ton truck for the applications where they mentioned using them. Were I in the market for a 3/4 or 1 ton 4x4 diesel engine truck I'd more then likely be more interested in the Dodge strictly because of its available diesel engine. My BIL works for a large heavy equipment operation and has always been a diehard Ford product user. His personal experience with a diesel engine F-350 4x4 soured him on that engine. As a result when the shop he manages replaced some of its service trucks they went with Dodge. People are very much influenced by a bad product experience.

I'm really sorry to read this because I honestly believe that any competent electrician could do this job, particularly so if its not tied into the household circuitry as that alleviates codes issues. I hope you post follow ups on what you end up with as I'm confident you have or can develop the know how to do a project like this one. Edited to add: I found this interesting link that might be of interest to you. http://www.solarjourneyusa.com/installguidesmall.php

I'm in about the same boat as you in that I know a lot about solar power set ups but the installation of same is confusing to me. I would have thought any licensed electrician could have wired in a set up for you but it looks like you've run into an economy of scale problem. Can you contact a community college or trade school to see if your needs could become a class project for someone? Otherwise you might consider a prebuilt, self contained portable set up... http://sunreadypower.com/

I've read through a lot of material related to Muhammad Ali over the years and have my own personal opinion of the man.He was an exceptional showman and gifted athlete. Beyond that I'll say nothing else as he's now dead and gone.

If that's the case then its a warranty issue to either be corrected by a warranty center or return to the factory.

http://www.autoblog.com/2016/06/08/chevy-silverado-ford-f-150-rocks-video/?icid=autoblog|trend|chevy-drops-blocks-on-ford Interestingly enough Chevrolet is anticipated to be shifting towards the use of aluminum in its truck bodies with its next generation Silverado. I wonder if they go with an aluminum bed?
-
Here's part of the explanation... http://www.solar-electric.com/solar-charge-controller-basics.html The rest is your running the solar panel through a converter which steps it down to the desired voltage. I'm sorry I can't provide more information but its been a long time since I read up on this stuff and decades since I took any electrical classes.
-
Pretty much sums it up for me as well. I've owned GM and Ford trucks and recently bought an F-150 Supercrew. I use a truck to haul people and tow stuff and tend to protect its bed. A good bed liner http://www.weathertech.com/techliner-bed-tailgate-protection/ would eliminate worriers on either truck.
-
Yep. I went through some grief with Ford over a '97 150 with engine problems and hadn't planed on another Ford. I like the all aluminum body and this ones an FX4 so it's pretty solid. Of course only time will tell on how well my faith in Ford's restored.

Good luck on your new truck MacGyver, I went through the assessment and decision making process a few weeks ago. I'd initially leaned towards an SUV but decided a full size crew cab 4x4 PU was a better choice. I had it down to either a Toyota, Titian, or F-150. With incentives and all I ended up going with the Ford. Either of the three would have been a great choice.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-EpoxyShield-2-gal-Gray-2-Part-High-Gloss-Epoxy-Garage-Floor-Coating-Kit-251870/100671422;jsessionid=939C6CDFDFE48BE0D3AE52E91599D4D0 Pretty much any good available epoxy floor finish you can buy will work ant the above link shows how the price can significantly jump. I'd ask the contractor about having the concrete sealed then place a good garage floor matting down. http://www.bigfloors.com/shop/garagetrac/?utm_source=Bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=%7BKeyWord%7D&utm_campaign=bigfloors As with epoxy finishes there are a lot of different floor matts available to include the simple fix of laying some heavy duty tile and keeping a box of spare tiles.

Great video, made my day.

I'm glad you have a satisfactory resolution to your warranty problem and hope that you are satisfied with the PPK/s. While its not one of my favorite pistols it is decidedly iconic and a lot of other people love it to pieces. I hope that you'll be one of the ones who love it and take pride in its ownership.
