Such an unusual thread; starting from suspicious originals to taking on its own life. So much talk about odoriferous stuff…

Cool rifle, I've heard so much negative stuff about 7.62x51 AR's that its kind of soured me on them. But there are lots of people shooting them with great success. Yours looks great!

I ran a Poulan for a for a few years but it couldn't hold a candle to a Stihl which is pretty much the only brand I'll recommend now. I did take the time to read the reviews on the Husqvarna 435 chainsaw on Amazon. It's worth reading. FWIW I've been pleased with the Husqvarna mowers and string trimmer I bought.

Good video and good advice, officer involved shooting investigations take time and the investigators have to deal with a disjointed jumbled mess of a situation.

Nope, if you have the means to afford to operate a Dodge Viper on a daily basis then keep on enjoying it. But if just being blond girl with an expensive sports car is the only motivation behind the stops then I applaud you for the foresight in setting up the car recording system.
-
I have no issue with any of the above and you by no means under obligation to submit to an investigative dialog with an officer during the course of a traffic stop. My only observation with all of the above is your kind of coming across as though you get stopped a lot. That might not be the case but if it is there something you can do to avoid the interaction before it happens?

Well though out and what I've recommended to friends and family whenever they've asked me what to do if stopped by a law enforcement officer. I hope the investigations and findings on the above incidents can be produced in a timely manner.

There's a reason why some people call a Glock a Block because in a lot of ways that's exactly how it feels. The G-19 feels a lot better in hand and while shooting to me then the G-17 does. I'm pretty much in agreement with Steelharp on the grip angle making the Ruger SR9 work better for me as well. One of the things you have to understand about Glock pistols is if you've spent a lot of time behind the trigger of another type of pistol then you have to learn how to shoot the Glock In other words you've got to adapt to the pistol which means practice. I've seen new shooters take to a Glock like a duck to water and others struggle with it. Just keep shooting it, 70 rounds isn't enough to decide on anything, you should be thinking at least 500 or more. I recommend you sign up for a defensive pistol class and use the G-19 you've just purchased.

Dillon and RCBS have always treated me right. RCBS rebuilt a progressive press I bought used and in pieces for nothing and I was upfront about everything with them. I thought for certain I'd be charged something but nope. Dillon's been good on tech questions and support as well. If you lose or break something you get a replacement. The above press in question here will be stripped down and either rebuilt with the necessary replacement parts or simply replaced. Its a question of how much damage and which is the most cost effective process for Dillon.

Well given this is posted in the Handguns section I'll stay with that topic line. I like all metal handguns, particularly older S&W and Colt revolvers as well as pre-Series 70 and Series 70 Colt 1911 pistols. I'm particularly fond of Colt Commanders in .38 Super and .45 ACP. I also genuinely like and admire Browning Hi-Power pistols from the 1960 period up until they began being assembled in Portugal. I like the all metal CZ-75 quite a bit too. I don't like polymer framed pistols of any kind but trust Glock 17/19/22/23's enough to have willingly carried them with great frequency. I consider the G-19 an ideal compromise insofar as size, caliber, reliability, accuracy and ease of carry come into play. The little Ruger LCP is a constant companion even though I bemoan the caliber I would like a 9mmP in something fractionally larger that I could rely on to be a trustworthy pocket pistol.

I'm interested in the G-43 and am very curious as to how it works in a pocket carry mode. I can see it probably working well with some pants but suspect there's some trial and error involved in selecting the right pants. What type pocket holster are you using?

Not to worry, I used Wikipedia and had the forethought not to open any of the links because I knew what that would lead to. I don't know what's worse to stumble upon doing internet searches NWO nonsense, NOP's wanting a hand out to "protect my liberties" or what.

I had to do some Google Fu...

Looks good. I like the SS slide and alloy frame. If its reliable and what you want then go for it and enjoy.

No, much of the media is complicit in minimizing the reporting of facts on the F&F GW incident and whenever something new comes up its marginalized and pushed aside as quickly as possible. The big tell on this is going to be whether or not the incumbent POTUS writes Presidential Pardons for Holder and Company prior to leaving office.

That's to bad because APHC has actually become what it was representing itself as being...a genuine piece of Americana. It'll be interesting to see how things progress once GK steps down as its host.
-
Well it's different...here's hoping it's everything you want it to be and does what you want it to do!

LOL...I haven't figured out if that was an actual LEO or armed security guard headed home from training or what but it was a good picture. You didn't even mention the house shoes. But then w/o knowing the pic's actual history who knows.

I believe the sweatpants thing's been done before....

That's the best disruption of a practical use for a cooler of this particular size as its of a size that requires either a truck bed or larger boat or cargo type aircraft to transport for any significant distance. I can see it being used at large end catered events as well and possible on some large disaster relief efforts. But it's most certainly a very specialized product that the end user(s) will more then gladly pay for.
-
I knew this was inevitable when she retired but its still terribly sad news and such a tragic loss.

https://www.rticcoolers.com/ http://www.orcacoolers.com/ I have two different sized Yeti Rambler (tumbler glasses) and two different sized water bottles. Yes, they keep beverages hot or cold for a long time. I plan to buy a soft sided cooler and some other stuff pretty soon and will either go with RTC or Orca.
-
Orca and RTC don't market a cooler in that size range and I have to agree its a very specialized product for a specific target group. Its cost would be written off in operational business expenses or by government purchasing. I can't think of anywhere I'd ever go where a cooler that size would be used.
